I visited Kerala in the month of October for my birthday. We hired the boat from the resort we were staying in - Whispering Palms. We were 4 people on board with other 3 boat members to serve us. As we boarded the boat I was thrilled. It is a total different experience. It started drizlling a bit. It was... More

A trip to Kerala is incomplete w/o sailing through the backwaters. We had earlier spent a night in a Kashmir houseboat but that was nothing as compared to the experience that one gathers in overnight trips in Kumarakom backwaters.

The Kerala backwaters are famed and that's why I spent a couple of grand on taking a tour. To my display the Vembanad lake is not as good as Dal Lake of Kashmir.. Cleaner than the Dal, yes, but is it very good and did I get my money's worth?? Well.. No.. Some of the people might love the place... More

A great place to unwind and relax. I have been there with my family couple of times and did the boating and stay over. People might get bored after if not a nature lover. Carry books, cameras and any of your favourite hobby stuff to relax while in the midst of nature.

Meandering in the backwaters was an unforgettable joy. Leaving 'civilization' behind is a feeling we westerners seldom get to experience. It's a priviledge to have been able to do so here!

We booked a 1 night stay on the pickadily(royal) houseboat. It was a beautiful experience. As we were on our honeymoon..we were looking some peace and quiet and a beautiful landscape. The houseboat gave us all of that. Beautifully maintained boat with absolutely sparkling washrooms. Everything was hygienic. To add to it, the food was just delicious!!!!! we couldnt find... More

This is one of the best place in our Country. As they say "GOD's OWN COUNTRY". It's truly remarkable on those sayings. There are many nearby places plus the sea food you will love the most. To name a few Kumarkom,Munnar, Tekkdi and many more. Also, you can carry away the fresh spices home with the original flavor by visiting... More
