Two foodies from South Africa spent a couple of days in Vejer to get a taste of amongst other things the Arab influence on the local cuisine. Our trip turned out to be the best all-round Southern Spain cooking holiday. Magical village, freshest produce and a 5-star hostess Annie made our stay an unforgettable experience. For a full revue with photographs... More

The two of us (1 cook, 1 non-cook) came to Vejer primarily to participate in a cooking day class with Annie. Sybil (the cook) had wanted to experience Spanish cooking first hand - we choose Annie based on tripadvisor reviews and on the feeling that Annie (Scottish) would be able to also provide a non-Spanish reference point. I (the non-cook)... More

I loved my day with Annie. As I hoped, we did a bit of shopping at the start of the day and got some local information on the way. Annie has a knack of making you feel as if you have known her for ages and the day was fun and informative. Eating the fruits of our labour up on... More

We joined Annie and Chelsea on their inaugural 4 night tour on 11th September and it was truly outstanding. Stayed in Casa Grande Jerez (the best place to stay), bodega cookery, tours and lunches in Jerez, Sanlucar and El Puerto, lunch in El Faro in Cadiz, locals' dining, drinking and flamenco choices AND grape treading, al fresco dining in vineyard... I was lucky enough to get into a day class with Annie during our trip to Portugal and Spain on October 3rd. All I can say is what a wonderful experience! She was also very helpful with my friend and her husband who needed to visit the medical clinic nearby. My husband joined us for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the... More

I have been traveling to Vejer for the past several years, each time to relax and avoid the "rat race" by wandering the streets of this lovely "white village" while stopping from time to time for tapas, Fino, Tinto and cerveza (not all at once!). When I heard about Annie B's cooking classes I immediately inquired. I was lucky to... More

We have just returned from a 4 day course with Annie in the beautiful town of Vejer. What a brilliant time we had cooking a huge variety of Spanish dishes, all accompanied by plentiful local wines and sherries. Eating the dishes we had prepared on the roof top terrace was fantastic. A visit to the fish market and a tour... More

For years a Vogue Living travel piece featuring AnnieB’s Spanish Kitchen was stashed in my dream file. Finally in September I arrived from New Zealand a world away from the magical Vejer de la Fonterra to attend her Cooking Sherry and Culture class. The course was as much fun as the magazine article promised and delivered more than I had... More

We had the great pleasure of a visit to Annie B's Spanish Kitchen on a recent visit to Vejer. Annie is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide to the cuisine of the region, one of the most interesting in Spain. There is a state of the art kitchen for students, and the view from the terrace must be one of the... More

After my first culinary classes with Annie Manson with my family in 2011, I knew I needed to return and write about her knowledge and enthusiasm, the Andalusian white-washed village she calls her home and the incredible bounty of the region. This past April, I traveled back to Spain and with Annie as my inspiration, wrote this piece http://tinyurl.com/kxddgkx Thanks!... More
