We spent the morning and early afternoon kayaking as Michael guided us around the bay and into the ocean. He's knowledgeable about all the flora and fauna in the area, as well as the geology of the cape. He told us some great historical stories about buried treasure and shipwrecks. He recommended that we have dinner up at the firehouse... More

We took a 3-hour group kayak tour with Michael, co-owner of Eagle North, and had a scenic trip that included exploring the wooded harbor, bird-watching, paddling through marsh out to the open beach, and then some ocean kayaking along scenic coastal cliffs. Michael is an excellent teacher and guide, a lobster fisherman whose family goes back 7 generations in the... More

My husband and I did a 3 hour kayak tour with Eagle North Kayak, second week in July, and we were very impressed. Jennifer was an excellent guide. She was very knowledgeable about the area, and the ecosystem, and it was great to learn from her. I would not hesitate to recommend Eagle North Kayak to anyone. Thank you Jennifer.... More

Today was un an scheduled day. With a brilliant sunny forecast I emailed the night before and got a response early in the morning. We were able to arrange a couple kayaks. Michael told us we were their first rental of the year. He set us up with everything we needed including a map and some suggestions for travel. He... More

We rented a pair of kayaks from Jen and Mike, which meant a pair of kayaks and the needed equipment, all at a reasonable price. Nothing special in that regard. But it was an oddly warm July day, and Jen told us about the prevailing winds in such conditions. As we headed out, calm and pleasant, and we spent some... More

We had an excellent experience with Eagle North (also known as Sea Spray Outdoor Adventures) and would strongly recommend it to anybody looking for great hiking, kayaking, and biking in northern Cape Breton Island. The co-owners, Mike and Jen, know the place inside and out – their warmth and know-how really enhanced our vacation. We were first-time visitors when we... More

Super fall hike with Jennifer who was amazingly knowledgeable about the area and all the history. I'm a bit of a Nervous Nelly in the woods but I felt so safe with Jennifer that I just loved this long hike. The coastal meadow was the highlight and the beautiful horses were a bonus . Jennifer is such a great ambassador... More

We booked a day long hike with Jennifer of Eagle North. We hiked out to Cape St. Lawrence, enjoying stunning views along the coast. Jen was so knowledgeable on the area, and its flora and fauna, and we really enjoyed her stories of the history of the area's settlement. She is a great story teller! And a great baker --... More

We couldn't have had a better time out on the water. Lovely environment and well planned circuit. Mike was great company. Very reassuring and filled the hours with lots of stories and natural history. Couldn't fault the day and would go again tomorrow if we had time left!

I enjoyed every minute of our kayak trip, I had not imagined it to also be such be fantastic bird watching opportunity and such a gorgeous location. As we saw few others on our trip I also got a real sense of being in the wilderness. Michael was a great guide and very informative and who doesn't like a ship... More
