This was one of the highlights of our trip around the Cabot Trail and definitely not one to be missed. I'm a bit of a nervous kayaker but Michael was fantastic and made me feel relaxed immediately. His knowledge of the local area, the flora and the fauna, and his stories were second to none and I'd highly recommend this... More

We had a great trip. Michael guided us through the bay and gave us an informative kayaking trip. He was very information about the wildlife, history of the area and safety in the kayaks. I would plan on taking this trip. My wife and I had minimal kayaking experience and it was a great trip.

Mike is a top notch guide and business owner. Our regret is that we didn't get to go on a tour because we tried to book last minute and he was full during our 3 day stay. We did rent kayaks for an hour and enjoyed a really beautiful ocean paddle in a protected and calm area. Lots of wildlife... More

We went on the 3 hour guided kayak tour. It was a rough day on the ocean, so Michael, the owner and guide, gave us the option to cancel or do a 3 hour tour on the bay where we put in. It was totally worth it! The scenery was gorgeous and Michael kept us informed and entertained with natural... More

We spent the morning and early afternoon kayaking as Michael guided us around the bay and into the ocean. He's knowledgeable about all the flora and fauna in the area, as well as the geology of the cape. He told us some great historical stories about buried treasure and shipwrecks. He recommended that we have dinner up at the firehouse... More

We took a 3-hour group kayak tour with Michael, co-owner of Eagle North, and had a scenic trip that included exploring the wooded harbor, bird-watching, paddling through marsh out to the open beach, and then some ocean kayaking along scenic coastal cliffs. Michael is an excellent teacher and guide, a lobster fisherman whose family goes back 7 generations in the... More

My husband and I did a 3 hour kayak tour with Eagle North Kayak, second week in July, and we were very impressed. Jennifer was an excellent guide. She was very knowledgeable about the area, and the ecosystem, and it was great to learn from her. I would not hesitate to recommend Eagle North Kayak to anyone. Thank you Jennifer.... More

Today was un an scheduled day. With a brilliant sunny forecast I emailed the night before and got a response early in the morning. We were able to arrange a couple kayaks. Michael told us we were their first rental of the year. He set us up with everything we needed including a map and some suggestions for travel. He... More

We rented a pair of kayaks from Jen and Mike, which meant a pair of kayaks and the needed equipment, all at a reasonable price. Nothing special in that regard. But it was an oddly warm July day, and Jen told us about the prevailing winds in such conditions. As we headed out, calm and pleasant, and we spent some... More

We had an excellent experience with Eagle North (also known as Sea Spray Outdoor Adventures) and would strongly recommend it to anybody looking for great hiking, kayaking, and biking in northern Cape Breton Island. The co-owners, Mike and Jen, know the place inside and out – their warmth and know-how really enhanced our vacation. We were first-time visitors when we... More
