A semi-natural lake that is fast turning into a dry cavity, thanks to rapid urbanisation of the surrounding areas. This spot is about 5 kilometers north of Surajkund on the Faridabad – Gurgaon Highway. A family outing for a day with either a packed picnic hamper or a quite lunch at the Haryana Tourism facility is in order on a... More

Once a thriving tourist complex, Badhkhal now is a deserted lake. Total neglect by the tourism deptt. and the apathy of the govt. has ruined this wonderful place, which a few years back used to be one of the best and most sought after destinations by families. Picnics, marriages, and conferences, used to be the call of the dat there.... More

No semblance of any lake seen. Used to be picnic spot in my childhood, not any longer. Like me you will be disappointed in not finding anything there. Unrestricted quarrying has lead to the sad demise of this lake.

It is not maintained properly. There is no water in the lake and is all dried up. However you will find first timers flocking to this place wanting to explore. There are some snacks on sale and a occassional camel rider. There is nothing to write about.

Visited this place couple of days back, hoping to see some water. But unfortunately, this is dead lake. No water whatsoever, completely dried down. The place is in poor shape, few resorts are there but no water. Point is, don't expect to see water in any season.

To start with there is no lake, not anymore, go in mansoon you will find some streams, some small ponds but not lake for sure. So what is there... Nature .... and is protected. Go for greenery, open spaces, to see endless land with green and miles of miles of dry lake bed. Go for peecocka, monkeyes, feather, peagion, sparrows,... More

It used to be a very deep lake with lot of fun activities around. People used to visit this place from nearby cities for picnics and day outing. Lake has dried up and you will not find traces of water even in rainy season. Children play cricket at base of the land which used to be a lake. It has... More

Badkhal Lake was a natural lake situated in Faridabad, Haryana, about 32 kilometers from Delhi. It was a natural lake surrounded by hilly areas of the Aravali Range in Haryana. Now it has dried up completely.
