We were greeted by Lidia who was immediately responsive to my e-mails. Lidia gave us a wonderful tour of the vineyard and we were treated to a wine tasting in an elegant room. we felt like royalty. Perfect.

Visited this as part of a Chianti tour. Not quite as exciting as when the grapes being harvested etc., but then it was nice and quite and able to enjoy the tour and samples. Sampled the wines obviously and the FRESH olive oil - great.

The Ruffino tan label has been one of my favorites since I very first started drinking wine. My wife and I were traveling through Florence and decided that we had to visit since it was so nearby. We rented a car and took the ~20 minute drive to Ruffino. Lidia was *super* accommodating and still gave us the full two-hour... More

We went to Tuscany in August of 2013 for a week of wine tasting. One of the vineyards we visited were Ruffino. We had an absoluty excellent time. First of all the estate is amazing, both surrounding and its buildings. We meet with our own private guide, that we had booked in advanced, who was a fantastic guide. She took... More

Didn't realize until the morning we were heading up there that you need to reserve a tour. I emailed them a few minutes before we left the apartment but no answer by the time we left. Headed up there anyway. Later saw that they emailed back just a few minutes after. Arrived at the estate about lunch time so we... More

Ruffino Chianti is a home favourite, so when we confirmed our trip to Italy in October, one of our first plans made, just after the flight, was the visit to the Ruffino estate. The first impression that Lidia had provided from the original email communication was wonderful - so gracious and accomodating. On the day of our planned visit, we... More

I had always been a fan of Ruffino wines, and visiting the estate was on top of my to-do list for my short stay in Tuscany. I am very thankful I had the chance to take the tour, meet Lidia - who was as informative as she is delightful - and enjoy a very educational tasting session. Ended up ordering... More

We visited the Ruffino estate at the end of September 2013. It was Saturday and the winery was closed however, Lidia arranged for us a special private tour and tasting. Thank you Lidia! It was excellent experience! We were greeted with a welcome glass of a nice chilled Vermentino and then went for a winery tour that was followed by... More

My husband and I visited here in September, 2013 for a "Winemaker for a Day" tour of the grounds and cellar. Lidia was our guide and was so kind, gracious and generous. We learned so much about the site, which dates back to the Renaissance, the well around which the original structure was built, and of course the wines of... More
