Castle park or 'Squirrel park' as it was known by my children is a good place for people of all ages. I now take my grandchildren there. I regularly visit to exercise my dog as the paths remain mud free where everywhere else is positively boggy. Lovely history of the house and park as a permanent exhibition in the conservatory... Plenty of variety. Lots to see and do, no reason to get bored. The children's activity area is second to none with a sand pit for the very young. Further up the park are activities for older children. The rest of the park with its recent refurbished conservative is glorious. Next into the Art Centre , which again has had... More

Visited Castle Park on numerous occasions when staying on local campsites around the care. Lovely place to take the family and the dog for a walk and a play, grab a coffee and a bite to eat and have a walk around the park and the gardens and read up on the history of the place and the local village... Visiting family in area found this lovely park on the Sunday staying close by. We where walking our dog through the park she enjoyed chasing the squirrels but to our amazement there was a small black terrier in a high vis dog coat flying around with Cheshire council on one side the other side squirrel patrol on the other side... Really nice park, not the biggest but lots to do. Free parking, children's play areas, tennis courts, basket ball court, bowling green, foot ball pitch, athletics track marked out, formal garden with fountain, glass house which is housing a small exhibition about the history of the park. The arts centre has a dress maker, cake maker, cafe, exhibitions and more.... More

As well as the usual collection of swings and stuff there are sand pit areas that our kids loved. Lovely walks up the hill if you feel energetic; art gallery if you are inclined and the cafe makes its toilets available for the public. Great place, wish more parks were like this.

A volunteer run centre close to the small market town of Frodsham. Current free exhibitions include some intriguing sculptures and paintings, pottery and fabric designs by local artists, many for sale. On my visit it was clean, smart and well organised. Pleasant gardens and a couple of decent coffee shops In Frodsham itself.
