This park is always quiet with an excellent play area for children. It has an very active Arts Centre and is home to two cafes..

What with free parking, play areas, art gallery and two cafes, what more do you want? Good starting point for walks up the hill.

A friend recommended the play area for our two small grand-daughters who were visiting us for the weekend and have boundless energy. They loved it. Plenty to occupy them both physically and imaginatively. Numerous climbing, balancing, sliding, digging and swinging apparatus. Then castle, pirate ship and sand play for their imagination. We had to promise to take them back after... More

I have visited Castle park twice in the last two weeks, the last occasion was on Monday 3-8-2014, I along with my wife took our two grandchildren one aged 4 and the other aged 18 months to the park, my grandchildren had a ball running around the grassed area's, after about ten minutes my grandson had what I thought was... We took our niece here on Sunday and it's really changed over the years. It now has a great park area for the kids, we did have the weather for it but a great place to bring the kids for a few hours , loads to keep them occupied.

I visited Castle Park with my daughter, my elderly parents and we always take the dog with us. This was perfect for what we wanted today. My father's mobility is very limited now and he is very self conscious of this, but he likes to go out and try and have a drink somewhere that's not terribly busy. We are... More

The park itself is very nice, there are two different playgrounds, one for older children and one for younger - both of which are very good. However this is about the limit to the park, it's not the type of the park you could spend the day (or even the afternoon) in. If you live close by it is definitely... More
