We have been nicely surprised by the castle. Despite its "age" and the comunist years. During last period it has been restaured and looks very good. I hope a possibility to resuare on the spot will be created, especially with tradiitonal food.

Beautiful castle, well preserved. A little bit pricey, as they could improve the tourist experience with modern equipment (special sound/vision effects i have seen in other museums).

Entrance to the caste is expensive, but is worth the money. Inside the castle you can enter plenty of chambers.

The way to this place and surrounding is horrifying - awful bankrupt rural area. The castle itself is really worth to see. There is not much museums item in it, but the architecture is very interesting. I've been there with children (9-13) and they enjoy climbing up the stairs and going like in the labyrinth in the castle.

As we were leaving a big line was at the entrance. Despite many errors during the various restorations, the place is still interesting Every room has an English explanation. Since we were going to Timisoara the stop was worth it.

try to visit the castle in the early morning, the afternoon and at night. You can take the best pictures late in the afternoon.

It's a must see when you visit Romania. It's easy to acces and when you get there sure you'll be impresed. Old home of Iancu de Hunedoara, an ancient lord of Valahia this place impresed from the first time. After a devastating fire it was restored like this days. Amazing place anyway...:)

Loved Corvin Castle and being able to wander through it without a guide. Beautiful on the outside (the scaffolding I see in some of the photos is now gone) and old and rugged on the inside. Many steps are involved so be aware of that if you have issues with steps as I used to due to a hip injury.... More

The palace is really nice looking and the tour lets you go through most of it (which rarely happens). The outside and most of it is quite well preserved. The main problem is that it could be much better exploited. Other than the story of the gallows "animal pit" and the well (and its' turkish diggers), there is very little... More
