Ocean explorations was a great experience. Zooming out in a red zodiac wrapped in a red survivalist jump suit to see whales. What fun. Tom the captain and expert led us out in the fog and mist. Visibility was poor but we didn’t let that dampen our spirits. After traveling for about 40 minutes Tom shut off the zodiac and... More

We've done a number of whale watches in our travels, on large ferry style boats and on smaller fishing style boats - the zodiac boat of Ocean Explorations brought a whole new angle for photos, more maneuverability to get as close as allowed quickly, and a wonderful sense of adventure. They take good care of you - tips to dress... More

Bring your camera! Whale watching in a Zodiac is THE BEST WAY to see whales. It is the closest thing to being in the whales' element and gives an awe-inspiring sense of connection to them. Tom Goodwin has the fastest boat in the whole area so he can get to the whales faster, and the boat ride itself is a... More

This was a fantastic experience, the highlight of our trip to Nova Scotia. The ride on the zodiac was an adrenalin rush in itself. After an hour of searching in the sea mist, we heard the sound from a whale's blow hole and raced towards it. We weren't disappointed, at first we saw a mother humpback whale and her calf,... More

I have to tell you first that I had limited expectations before going as I was on a whale watch before and never saw a thing. This time was so different. Tom was great to communicate with even thought he was on a trip to Florida at the time, he replied and answered my questions. That's customer service. We found... More

Having been whale watching in Bay of Fundy in a much larger boat a few years ago and loving it, we decided to give it another turn in a zodiac (small inflatable boat). Nature is-what-it-is and the whales are where-they-choose-to-be, so although the abundance of whale sightings was not as fruitful as our previous outing, we did manage to experience... More

Brilliant trip on the zodiac. Tom was a superb guide, very knowledgeable and patient. We saw fin whales, humpbacks, porpoises, seals and loads of birds. Fantastic experience and great fun Thanks Tom

Tom was an excellent guide - very friendly and informative. His experience was evident. The zodiac was quite fun, but might not be the best option for those who get motion sickness. I was feeling pretty nauseous while we were floating watching the whales as the boat moves A LOT. We saw a few humpback whales, lots of seals and... More

We really had a great time with Tom. Saw two whales, many seals, dolphins and puffins. Whales were incredibly close to the boat! The foggy weather added a magic atmosphere to our ride. Last but not least the zodiac ride was "better than a rollercoaster" according to our 8 year old daughter.
