We were staying in Lorgue, in the hills above the Cote d'Azur - good spot, by the way, and delightful outdoor dining in the village centre at night. You get to Chateau de Berne by taking the D10 out of Lorgue heading for Salernes and Aups. It's not far - 10 minutes or so to the entrance. Then, the fun... More

I went to the cafeteria to ask for a cup of tea. Apart from the fact that they had a very small choice of tea bags, simply not replaced when they were running low, they were also incredibly unfriendly: I asked to be able to sit in the comfortable chairs, where people were having their coffee. I was told I... More

We have had dinner in chateau de Berne several times. Each time the food itself was very nice! The service during the aperitive though was each time unprofessional! We ordered each time a bottle of champagne and twice they managed to poor out half a glas in the champagnebucket!! They did not even apologize. The food and the service during... More

Let me start with a couple of clarifications as we had some trouble finding out: 1) There are two ways leading to the Chateau. First, there is one road going straight up from the centre ville of Lorgues, however this is a very narrow road and I think it is a better choice for the return drive than for going... More

We were invited to birthday at Chateau de Berne, and what an experience. It is a beautifull place to have your party and see the fantastic place. It is surroundet by wine yards and the garden is so beautifull. Food and wine so special and the atmosphere very good.

We had an outstanding lunch with wines, at 50 euros per person. Chateau de Berne is quite far away from the main road A8, roughly one hour from Cannes. The final patch of the road was narrow, there was one particular corner we thought we might not get through. Luckily one person came along the road and showed us it... More

Turning off the road onto the property of Chateau de Berne one can be a bit confused as it takes another 5 minues until one finally reaches the Chateau. The grounds are vast!! Lovely shop and wine tasting area. Sadly the wines aren't my taste and I find them a bit too expensive but I always take my visitors there... More

Hotel and restaurant belong to Relais & Chateaux; excellent food, very nice atmosphere and overall good service; free and convenient pick up and return from our hotel in town. A bit pricey but well worth the money.

The whole ambiance. As your drive into the property just to see the well kept gardens and vineyards. You are greeted with a smile and nothing is too much trouble.

Set in beautiful countryside the Chateau is easy to find......the surroundings are stunning.....and one things you will notice is the distinct shapes of the Berne bottles...... Our wine tasting was done very professionally and it was so nice to have each one explained in simple laymans terms ! A walk around the grounds finished off our visit...we will go back... More
