Get a boat trip out to the island, it's good fun and the scenery is just great. We saw baby seals on our trip last week and porpoises. We shall go back again next year on our next hols

I have visited this island previously and concur with all the complimentary comments of being a truly wonderful day out. On this occasion we took a sight seeing cruise which leaves Martin's Haven at 1.00pm on most days weather permitting. This takes one hour and encircles this beautiful island. We saw seals basking and feeding their pups and a couple... More

The Puffins! Absolutely beautiful birds and amazing to be able to get up so close. Lots of other interest on the island and the Wildlife Trust is very deserving of your support in maintaining this important island. Go see!

Took a 11am boat from Martin's Haven to Skomer island, it was the best thing from my Pembrokeshire tour. In August you don't see as many birds (for instance, the puffins are gone), but the place itself is beautiful and the views breathtaking. There are no major facilities, just a couple of compost toilets, so take plenty of food and... More

I've been to Skomer (or Skokholm) Island every year (except one) since 2007. Every year, I can't wait to go back again! This year was one of the best. I was extremely fortunate to get onto a boat which very nearly didn't sail because of the weather conditions. There were no sailings the day before, and none the day after.... More

I have always wanted to go to Skomer and it's a day i will always remember . We arrived at 9 am and got on the 10am crossing . We were lucky that the puffins were still there in early august and we also saw seals , dolphins and a sun fish . No words can describe how much i... More

From the moment our ferry arrived I knew that I had come to a magical place. Puffins flew over us as the sea sparkled, oh what joy. The trip was only ten minutes by boat, but be warned there are steps on the mainland and island. The latter are steep but with help and time one friend who has difficulties... More

It was so lovely to see the PUFFINS in close and personal on this wonderful island. We spent the day here from our base in Dinas cross. The weather was superb and the island is a warren of nesting birds. There are only 4 toilets on the island and you must take your own refreshments. As members of the RSPB... More

We went for a day trip last year and wanted to stay two nights this year. Unfortunately the weather made this impossible, but we managed one night. It was absolutely fantastic and we took friends from India back to Skomer for a day trip two weeks later. We were so thrilled to see the puffins, especially with the sand eels... More

We followed the tips from previous reviewers, and had the a magical day out - one that we will always remember. We went in early July and saw Puffins, Razorbills, Guillemots, Choughs, Oystercatchers, Fulmars and Grey Seals too. The best tip was to arrive early! With only 250 landing passes issued per day, these soon go. The passes cost £10... More
