This is our 4th trip with this boat. Its a really nice trip out to the whales and dolphins, quick for not uncomfortable. The whales seem to be attracted to the boat which is fab. The whales head further south as the day goes on so the earlier boats are better but they fill up quick as they only take... More

A fantastic trip out to sea, saw lots of whales and dolphins really close up. Being in this wee yellow boat you are very low in the water so within a meter or so of the animals and as there are only 12 people, no one gets in the way of a great view. After a good 30 minutes of... More

We've got this attraction from tripadvisor and it didn't diappoint! Nico was excellent guide and explained in English and French. He did the most to make this trip memorable and great! The only downside was a seasickness me and my wife got, wich made us want to come back ASAP... Anyway, the trip itself was very good and I can... More

We have searched for whales and dolphins for the last six years and always with this company. I have no doubts about my safety whilst in their care and have seen whales every time I have visited. Looking forward to next year!

Although I am fortunate enough to live in Tenerife, I seldom take advantage of the tourist attractions, so joining family on this little jaunt was quite novel for me. Betty who knows just about everything about whales, their habitat and best locations, is so passionate about the business that you would be forgiven for not realising that she is actually... More

Really worth seeking Ocean Exployer out. He gets you close, but not to close to the whales and dolphins. Small and fast boat gets you ahead of the other trips. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic captain. I would definitely recommend.

Our experience with Ocean Explorer was just excellent, from booking the trip over the phone to last minute changes to our schedule to the trip itself. Friendly, informative staff, affordable price, very comfortable boat, and the best part - the pilot whales and the dolphins!!!! I would love to do the trip again if I get the chance!!

Out for the 2 hr Pilot whale and dolphin watching trip. We had the boat to ourselves for a little extra (to cover the owners costs) and Nico our guide was superb. He gets close to the mammals whilst always carefully and slowly manoeuvring the boat to avoid spooking them. Very knowledgeable and engaging. Thoroughly enjoyable

Other operators in Los Gigantes guarantee you will see whales OR dolphins. So they head straight to where the dolphins gather which is closer to shore and don't bother heading further out seeking whales - you will pass such operations boats as you speed away from shore seeking whales. Ocean Explorer will give you a refund, not a credit note,... More

Their money back guarantee suggests you're probably going to see some whales, and we saw two pods of pilot whales and some dolphins, including some younger ones. The boat used is smaller than the other boats offering tours, so it's faster, more agile, and can get right up close to the mammals. Friendly captain and staff, what's not to like.... More
