We read the reviews about this boat and we were not disappointed. We saw pilot whales and dolphins. It was amazing. The times of the trips are 11.30am and 1.30pm and costs €15 each. Don't miss this fantastic trip !!

We did the trip out to see the whales this morning on my friends birthday and specifically looked for Ocean Explorer after reading the reviews here on Trip Advisor. Our guide- Nico seemed to know exactly where to look and we were not disappointed with pilot whales surfacing really close to the boat. It would have been nice to have... More

Amazing experience! Very professional staff, extremely nice, not pricy, and the most important – we got to see the whales from up close. We're glad that we read all the recommendations on Ocean Explorer and therefor went straight to them on the crowded marina. Don't miss it!

Not inclined to join one of the large whale watching boats, I was looking for whale watching on a small boat with less people. Was very pleased we found Ocean Explorer. It was fantastic as we only had 6 on our boat. The whale watchng was for 1.5 hours but the yellow boat is so much faster than many of... More

Easy to find on pontoon 4 This is a small family run business and the boat is a small boat that can take 12 people. You get right among the whales as opposed to the larger boats that have to keep a distance. You could have touched the whales from the boat. You could hear them calling each other and... More

Seen ocean explorer recommended on trip advisor so we went with the positive reviews. We were not disappointed either. It was a trip out into the sea to catch a glimpse of whales and dolphins. The trip was organised with a lovely lady t the harbour edge who was very knowledgeable about the mammals. I was bit anxious bout going... More

Having been told by fellow holiday makers we wouldn't see any whales because it was out of season, we thought with the money back guarantee, we couldn't lose. And we didn't, it was incredible, the whales seemed to be attracted to us. The captain took us straight to the pod and exceeded our hopes and expectations.

Like other reviewers, we had an amazing time seeing the pilot whales and their babies. We were also thrilled to see a flying fish come right across the bow of the boat and a turtle swim right past us, near enough to touch (not that you do, it's strictly forbidden to put your hands in the water). Lorenzo, the boat's... More

We drove to Los Gigantes but had problems finding the 'Marina'. If you click through to Google maps on your generic smart phone from Tripadvisor it shows Ocean Explorer's location as just off the coast in the next town down. The real location on Google maps is Puerto de Los Gigantes on Calle Poblado Marinero. You can park on the... More

we went on Aug 4th we liked the idea of a money back guarantee as we felt they wouldn't offer that if we they were not confident of their success. We wanted a small boat so we would be closer to the water and hopefully a better chance of seeing something this boat only take a max of 11 people... More
