Owner description: For 175 years Nash Point lighthouse, designed by James Walker, the Engineer-in-Chief to Trinity House, has been keeping the mariner safe of Nash Sands, the sandbanks off the point at the entrance to the Bristol Channel. In 1977 a rare plant, the tuberous thistle (Cirsium Tuberosum), was found growing around the lighthouse. Nash Point was the last manned lighthouse in Wales. The lighthouse keepers left on 5 August 1998. Nash Point formally opened its doors to the public in 2007 so why not come along and see this wonderful lighthouse and the stunning scenery around about it from a new perspective? Fog Signal The fog signal is sounded at 14.00 On the first Saturday and third Sunday of each month, weather conditions permitting. Tours of Nash Point are organised under licence from the Corporation of Trinity House.

Beautiful place. Private car park which charges £1.50, and also has a little shop where you can get a drink and piece of cake etc. The lighthouse is just a short walk from here. Lovely scenery, with cottages that you can stay in. You can go inside the lighthouse but it has unusual opening times (think it was 2pm -... More

Brilliant location for a summer day relaxing. Only £1.50 to park along the cliff area (plenty of place to park and set up some chairs). The lighthouse is a few minutes walk from the parking area. There is a fee to enter the lighthouse and a few guidelines (closed shoes is one item that caught us). There are also cottages... More

This little gem has superb views over the Severn Estuary, there is ample parking (private carpark) and the possibility of renting "keepers" cottages as holiday homes. My eldest child is currently looking at Lighthouses and navigation, so we have been traveling to various lighthouses that are open to the public, so she can see the differences in architecture and what... Free to visit, no car park close but only 1/4 mile or so walk from car park. Trinity House let cottages next to lighthouse if you fancy a holiday out of the ordinary. They also hold weddings here.

We got married at the lighthouse in May this year, what an amazing place! It was the perfect wedding venue for us and the lighthouse keeper, Chris and his wife Barbara were so kind and helpful, they really made our day very special. It's such a lovely place to visit, really pretty views and the lighthouse tour by Chris is... More

A great place to visit if only for the walk there and the amazing views over the treacherous waters of the Bristol Channel to Devon.

We recently decided to take a visit to Nash point, I love all lighthouses, & it's always lovely to visit the one's still in use... We took the dog because you can walk forever,(Take a lead as some parts have extremely large cliff edges, although most of the walk is safe) Unfortunately we had not checked the opening times, so... This is the place we go to most evenings after work, to walk the dog and catch up on the news. The views are great and the sea breeze invigourating.
