I am blown away by this experience! I was so so so scared of sitting in a submarine going to 40 meters of depth and the thought of sitting on the seafloor for a while was just a nightmare to me, but my curiosity got the best of me and I had an unforgettable experience! Seeing all those beautiful fish,... More

At the time, I thought the trip was good. I saw fish, rays, divers, a sort of wreck. Later, taking the waterbus from Puerto Calero to Puerto del Carmen, it was obvious that the sub just left the marina, was hidden from land by the marina walls, and submerged close to the marina walls. Not quite what I had expected!

Great to hear you enjoyed our trip, the divers, fish and the wrecks. The reason we dive close to the marina walls is quite simple; this is where most of the fish are. Many of the species feed off the plankton which is found in abundance is this area. Another reason we do not go out too far is because... More

I booked for the submarine trip while we were on holiday with my husband and son. I got on the submarine but I am not good with water and I did not like the submarine. I felt too closed in and had to get of the submarine. my husband and son stayed on the trip. They really enjoyed it and they... More

It is very rare clients get off the submarine once on board, but in your case you clearly have an issue with going under the water. We understand this here at Submarine Safaris so naturally gave you your money back and applauded you for giving it ago! Great to hear your husband and son stayed on the trip and they... More

We found this an excellent trip. It was very well organised. There was plenty of room in the submarine, just beware the walkway beside it which is quite wobbly for anyone with out great balance. It was great to see the shipwrecks and fish and a massive stingray appeared at feeding time. She seemed very friendly and swam right up... More

Delighted you enjoyed your dive with us. We often get visits from huge rays. We have even named one of them Juanitia, she is such a regular visitor. She loves a feed from our scuba divers and to pose for the cameras! We love your comment, "Not to be Missed" Many thanks for posting your review. More

On Jan 21 my 2 G'sons & myself went on a trip on this brilliant sub. The whole experience is definite 10 / 10. As I've kept marine fish for many years but cannot it was great. The smiles on the boys faces and the perfect service from start to finish was well the money. To use a modern phrase... More

As we are never likely to dive or snorkel this was a terrific experience. I didn't quite expect to go so far underwater so it was a wonderful surprise. We saw a lot of fish and a big Ray. It is lovely to see the shoals swimming by. Also had a happy wave fromthe diver. Submarine dive, another first ticked... More

Going on a submarine is certainly one of those things to tick off your list, and for people never likely to dive or snorkel this is a great way to dive 100ft to the bottom of the Atlantic. Many thanks for your review. More

I booked this trip for my husband`s birthday. To be honest I was a bit nervous as I am a bit claustrophobic, I did not need to worry. A safety film was given which we all watched before boarding the submarine which put my mind at rest. There is also a boat with the divers on it which follows the... More

Thanks for your kind review. Many of our clients worry about being claustrophobic but as you say, our submarine is huge inside, similar size to a coach. It is 18.5 m long, 4 m wide and 6.5 m high. We seat 44 passengers and crew. The cabin is spacious and is maintained at normal atmospheric conditions, so pregnant women, heart... More

This was really something outside everything I have done before. Even if the tour is quite touristified and as always, a little to short to give the "ll the stars". You will see som wrecks, some big fishes and some fun for the children. If they made this trip even a bit longer, and out to the big reef this... More

The Atlantic ocean goes very deep very fast off the coast of Puerto Calero. Our submarine dives to a maximum of 60m. Most of the marine life here is found at around 25/30m this is the reason we concentrate our dives at these depths. Over the years we have sunk several wrecks to enhance the marine life and create reefs.... More

We went on the submarine safari on 11th February, and loved every second of it. We'd done the little yellow submarine trips before, the ones that stay on the surface but you are actually about 5 foot below the surface, but this is the real deal. Going about 100 foot down, you see so much more. We were so fortunate... More

Great to hear you enjoyed every second! As you quite rightly state our submarine is the real deal! At a cost of around 3 million euros each, they are designed for safety and total comfort so our passengers can fully enjoy their diving experience. The cabin is spacious and is maintained at normal atmospheric conditions, so pregnant women, heart patients... More
