when you visit La Cave you feel fromthe very beginning this is a trip to another earth-life period .. a window in the times. Tousands and millions of years have formed this impressing stone-monuments in this huge caves. And they present it in such an nice and high professional way. My Kids and me - we loved it :-)

Much less commercial than other caves nearby (Padirac). The UV section is amazing and was unexpected. Our guide spoke good English and took the time to explain all of the relevant and interesting bits. P{hots are aloud here and the attitude from staff was very relaxed. Highly recommended, also the hotel restaurant opposite is worth a visit for lunch.

We were there last day of the season, and part of a group of 7, where it can go up to 50 people in summer ! The descent with the small train feels like going in the middle of the earth. The guide was very interesting sharing many curiosity about the history of the discovery and the more recent period.

Well organised, fantastic stalagmites and stalactites and the excitement of an entry by train. Educational for all.

Caves are always fascinating at some level. We preferred our vist to another cave earlier in our trip. Also the train is just the way to get you into the cave.

The Grottes de Lacave were not even on our list of things to do during our trip. It was actually recommended by the owner of our hotel and at first we were a bit skeptical. Now we're absolutely glad we went because it was a pretty amazing sight. It's a reasonably long visit with a lot of different, awesome-looking rooms.... More

Small train journey to wonderful caves but you must be able bodied to get to all the caves. Super geological finds.

The natural stalectite sculpture, and the underground boat ride along the stream - it is a wonder of the universe. The best I have seen (but you need to climb over 300 steps, so is not suited to everyone)

Arrived just after 1000, ended up visiting cave with just 2 others, following tour groups were very large, guide spoke mostly in French with some English explanations. Good selection of stalagmite and stalactite formations well lit route easy walking up and down stairs.

Firstly the caves are brilliant and worth the visit. The cost is fine for what you get to see. But the big frustration was that although the person at the counter spoke English the tour was almost completely in French. That is fine if it is only aiming at the French speaking market but if they are do want tourists... More
