This well established park on some old quarries gifted to the people of Shipley in the 1920's has a little something for everything. Starting at the bottom it has tennis courts for a tiny fee, a bowling green, one new playground, an older playground at the top of the hill, numerous playing fields complete with nets etc, allotments, wild meadows,... Northcliffe park itself is on the outskirts of Bradford. Its huge, open and extremely peaceful. Its a great place to go for a walk and see the beautifully kept flower beds and grass. There's a children's play area and bowing green. You can walk for miles and forget that you are in the middle of a big town. Its extremely... More

This is a wonderful place to visit, no matter what time of the year. Golden meadows and woodland carpeted with bluebells in the springtime, woodland with wild garlic and other fauna to wonder through any time of the year; a miniature steam railway for young children to ride on; you can even get married here! There are children's playgrounds to... More

Gorgeous here whatever the weather and I enjoy it no matter how many times I visit. I love the fun day in June and enjoy going on a Sunday when the steam train is running and the steam enthusiasts take people for rides on the permanent track there. Children can't get enough of it.

Lots of footpaths, stream tumbling through the woodland, suitable for all ages and fitness levels, picnic area, miniature railway operates on some Sundays, surrounded by golf courses, playing fields, allotments, a plant nursery, and linked with Heaton Woods where, if you are lucky, you might even see deer.

Perfect woodland walk for all the family. Friends of Northcliffe have regenerated the area and made a good job of it! There is a bird watching area and lots of open spaces too for the kids to run around. There is an incline so you would need to check whether it is suitable for wheelchair users.

This place is a little gem. A lovely wood with different paths snaking through, open fields for ball games etc and even a miniature railway! (this is run by enthusiasts & open weekends in the summer if weather is fine)
