Was lucky to travel through here on a sunny evening. Wonderful views and so quiet. A complete contrast to the towns.

I was always taken here as a child lots of rocks to climb and plenty of places to hide and always an ice crream van with real yorkshire icecream yummy. As an adult nice walks and a pub near by. A real day out for all.

We approached the moor in the Shipley Glen Tramway which is an experience in itself. Once you get to the top the walks are wonderful and the views breathtaking views. Somehwhat overshadowed by the neighbouring Ilkley Moor this is a spot not to be missed. Plenty of flora to be observed. Excellent!

How wonderful to find such a wonderful open space which is typical of the beautiful moorland countryside that surrounds the city of Bradford. It is typical of the area of West Yorkshire with beautiful countryside above, heavy industrial milltowns.

A lovely example of a Yorkshire moor, only a little overshadowed by its more famous neighbour, Ilkley Moor, Bah tat etc.. Mind the golfers and the horseriders whilst admiring the ancient mine workings, They are safe these days but a great reminder that once this place was not so lovely. Good for spotting Red Kites and other local birds and... More

I always have a tear in my eye when I take my dear wife ( who is not quite as able as she once was ) to the rather unkempt car park overlooking Baildon. After a sandwich, a short drive down to the pub for a gentle drink, and ( me ) to remember the fifty and more years ago... More

The Moor has spectacular views of many places around Bradford from its lofty heights. It has many walking tracks and a golf club running across it.

Fantastic area for walkers, you need "Good" boots, not cheap ones. Easy access also to Rombalds Moor and Ilkley Moor, some parts there's a fair plod between "Watering Holes"!!

Breathtaking views and wonderful walks, all in one amazing area. Attached to the more famous Ilkley Moor, Baildon Moor has so much to enjoy. This unspoilt area of natural beauty is a must for anyone who enjoys open spaces and fresh air. Take a walk from Baildon village, visit Trigg Point and marvel at the panoramic views. Well worth the... More

Though bleak and cold the moors provide an amazing place to walk, horseride, jog, take dogs for walk and generally for some peace and quiet from the noise and distractions of life. Dick Hudsons pub on the moor is the perfect place to call for a nice bite to eat after a bracing walk - wear good walking shoes, preferably... More
