It needn't take long to see everything on show but there is much to fascinate and linger over should one have... More

This is the epitome of what a small but comprehensive salute to the rural traditions of an area should be.

A small museum that is packed with memories of times gone by. Under construction for a new wing ... so hopefully it will be even better

Usk appears to be one of the few small towns which encourages visitors by allowing lots of free parking. Whilst the town is worth a look, the museum is really excellent. They have certainly tried (and succeeded) in cramming the place with objects, but have still managed to organise them well and provide sufficient information.

The museum is very central in town centre and there are lots of places to park close by. We found easy street parking out the front of the museum and it is run by very friendly volunteers. It is free to enter but donations are very welcome. There is lots crammed inside and its a lot bigger than what it... More

Whoever is the curator at the museum has certainly crammed a lot in, in a small area. Very interesting and even for a couple of old crumblies like us, we found things in there we had not seen before! There are plenty of free local leaflets, plus maps and books to buy. Even a small cafe. I was fascinated by... More

We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who told us all about the museum. The museum is very interesting with lots of artefacts and really gives an insight into life of past times. Well worth a visit and it is free.

A great little museum, well worth a visit if you are in the area, and admission was free, (just make a small donation). Well worth the money!

We chanced upon this delightful and charming little museum while we were in Usk visiting friends. I had my two year old grandaughter with me so we popped in. The staff are warm and welcoming, the museum itself was informative and educational and full of info and momentoes of times gone by in the area. My granddaughter was very taken with... More
