If there are walking trails off the beaten track then this would be well worth investigating. We did the mass tour bus thing - takes you to a certain point, you walk the next section, then pick up a bus for the return journey. The lakeside walk is pleasant but crowded. Living in Shanghai we enjoyed the open spaces -... More

The park basically involves taking a bus on a circuit of one beautiful viewing spot after the next. Bring a jacket. More

It is still a very beautiful place in winter, which could be 3x more beautiful during May to November. The park can take about 4 hours to complete by shuttle bus / walk. The walk is about 6km in total divided into 2 sections. Wildlife basically consists of horses, cows, and sheep in winter time. More

Beautiful and scenic, this is China's first national park. Even though we were here on a cold December day we enjoyed our visit very much. More

Great bus and walking tours, albeit marred by rain and altitude sickness. More

It's an amazing place. (visited in July 2009) But beware of altitide sickness, makes you very nauscious so could stop you from fully enjoying it. Ther park abounds with Yaks. You can stop where you want on bus, stay with group, walk around and hop on same or next bus. Best to bring your own food... We saw some hungry... More

I went there in late Aug 2011 with a group of friends and everyone came out mesmerising by its beauty and natural - very much untouched. There were 3 main attractions with Shude , Militang and Beihai . It was a sunny noon time when we reach there. We walked some 3km and enjoying every beauty on its path -... More
