First of all I never review things unless it is either terrible or amazing and I can definitely say it wasn't terrible. I did the 1 night tree top explorer. The guide (Boun) spoke fluent English and we had about 4 or 5 more local guides who didn't. Safety seems to be their top priority and they clearly enjoy there... More

We had read all the good reviews about Green Discovery and after visiting all the companies in the city our opinion was clear: they are the best. Talking with other travellers they shared their awful experiences: worst tales came from the so called 'Khmu travel' but some people trying a very expensive business run by Westerners volunteers, Forest Retreat, were... My friend and I chose the four day trek because it had kayaking also on the last day. We had two days of light walking (one day we arrived at our destination by lunchtime and spent the whole afternoon sitting in a village) but the third day had lots of steep hills and was quite exhausting. The fourth "day" was... More

The bolaven plateau trek is way overpriced and not bringing you anywhere "special" you'd expect from the shop style (and price). I'd recommend booking a trek with your hotel. Better, there's plenty of nice homestay along the road in the bolavens who can easily organize a trek. DON'T GO TREKKING WITH GREEN DISCOVERY. Some friends did the zip line and... More

We did a three day two night treetop tour with green discovery. It included lots of zip lining, canyoning, canopy walks and to top it off staying in an amazing location beside a spectacular waterfall. You stay in open air treetops with private bathrooms which are only accessible via zip lines :) Food was amazing having traditional laos lunches on... More

Booked a day trip for Bolaven plateau sightseeing. Should have known better after my experience with Green Discovery in Vang Vieng. In short words, a full day sightseeing trip with more than 8 people, charging 60 USD (!!!) each and then having a nice guy as a guide, who hardly speaks english and certainly cannot give any background info or... Don't do it! Absolute rip off for $85USD per person Sat in a mini van for a few hours, walked through deserted field and then walked up and down mountains that could have been anywhere!!! Terrible and complete WASTE of money!! Very disappointed

We opted for the two day / one night package and it was fantastic! The zip-lining was so much fun and the views from the zip-lines were amazing. We were a group of 14 and we had 4 guides, the guides literally did everything for you...checking you were hooked onto the zip line correctly at the start and another guide... More

We did a 2-day treetop explorer and it was one of our favorite experiences of our holiday. They recently added more zip lines and sky bridges, making a 2-day trip full of fun and adventure. There a fair bit of trekking and climbing and you will be up very high completing some really amazing zip line runs. It's a one... More

We signed up for the 2 day zip- lining tour, afraid that we might be missing something by not doing 3 days, but it was wonderful. The guides were all well-trained and safety conscious, very important when one of our number fainted on the platform (from illness, rather than fear!). Our main guide, Hot, had good English. We really enjoyed... More
