I am not that excited by ziplines. But this place is amazing. Ziplining down a gorge in front of a massive waterfall was spectacular. Staying in your own tree house was cool. There were something like 18 ziplines with one 450m. Food was greay, and the young staff very nice. Great community program to get more people into nature conservation,... More

We chose to do the 3 day/2 night Treetop explorer tour, while researching what to do in Laos, this kept coming up and the lure of the ziplines, trekking and sleeping in a treehouse was just too hard to resist. I booked this online and paid the deposit using credit card (the extra 5% charge was about equivalent to us... More

I did the 2 day Bolaven Plateau trek with home stay, and to be honest the trek was overall okay. The 2 days of trekking through the plateau didn't reveal a lot of scenery - most of the hours were spent walking down dirt roads or through coffee plantations, which after an hour is all pretty samey. The waterfalls were... More

I've booked a 2 days tour at the Bolaven plateau and a 1 day tour at the 4000 Islands with Green discovery from France after submitting my request on the website. I've been pleased with the service as, first, I received a very quick answer from the head office to give me more information. I was a bit concerned about... More

Don't believe the marketing materials which suggests that requires a moderate degree of fitness, and is fine for anyone between the ages of 7 and 70. It's full-on and a significant exertion. A phenomenal experience, but not an easy one. We're a family of 5 (aged from 44 down to 9 years old). We're all fit, sporty and active, used... More

I did the 2 nights in the treehouse in the jungle with a friend. It cost around $300, so it was something I spent more money on. But it was absolutely incredible. The guides were kind, and the treehouse was great. Food was good. But the best thing was the views: waterfalls, cliffs, sunsets, sunrises. They were incredible. It was... More

First of all I never review things unless it is either terrible or amazing and I can definitely say it wasn't terrible. I did the 1 night tree top explorer. The guide (Boun) spoke fluent English and we had about 4 or 5 more local guides who didn't. Safety seems to be their top priority and they clearly enjoy there... More

We had read all the good reviews about Green Discovery and after visiting all the companies in the city our opinion was clear: they are the best. Talking with other travellers they shared their awful experiences: worst tales came from the so called 'Khmu travel' but some people trying a very expensive business run by Westerners volunteers, Forest Retreat, were... My friend and I chose the four day trek because it had kayaking also on the last day. We had two days of light walking (one day we arrived at our destination by lunchtime and spent the whole afternoon sitting in a village) but the third day had lots of steep hills and was quite exhausting. The fourth "day" was... More

The bolaven plateau trek is way overpriced and not bringing you anywhere "special" you'd expect from the shop style (and price). I'd recommend booking a trek with your hotel. Better, there's plenty of nice homestay along the road in the bolavens who can easily organize a trek. DON'T GO TREKKING WITH GREEN DISCOVERY. Some friends did the zip line and... More
