Nicely maintained. Good for a run, cycle or walk. Be prepared for sudden rain though as Taiping is well known as wettest place in Malaysia. There are numerous rain shelters around the lake but be prepared with own umbrellas just in case. Otherwise a worthwhile place to chill out. Check out the century old trees near flemington hotel. Simply Beautiful.

The place has great old trees. It is fairly well kept, but the traffic that goes through it does not help its tranquility. There are parts of the gardens that have indian temples and streams. These places are of high energy, but sadly full of rubbish. The gardens look good with old remnants of the british era. All new erections... More

The Taiping Lake Garden is the first man made garden in Malaysia. Not only does it have a very beautiful scenery but it also holds the first Golf Course in Malaysia( though the golf course has been abandoned). it is a joyful, relaxing and wonderful experience to walk around the lake garden during morning and evening session.

I came to Taiping mainly for the Canopies of the Rain Trees along the lake gardens. Although the weather is a bit hot when i arrived in this lovely town. By early afternoon it started to pour lightly while i was walking along the green grasses beneath the weird branches of the rain trees. It rain four times in a... More

The Taiping Lake Garden is very big. That is why it is so peaceful and relaxing even there are so many people in the garden. The Taiping Lake is so scenic with the Maxwell Hill as the background at the far distance. The rain tress are of hundredyears old. The tree's branches spread over the road and reach to the... More

One of the best maintained lake gardens / parks in Malaysia, the trees are beautiful with their branches on one side of the roads reaching the other side to get to the lake! Very beautiful and serene. Best to have your own car to drive around the lake first before parking and exploring the grounds on foot.

This place is so peaceful and one can really relax here and maybe even lower down that high blood pressure! It reminds me of Ueno Park which I visited in Japan, where the park has many facilities within its property. At Taiping Lake Gardens, you can rent a bike, paddle a boat around the lake, or just sit quietly on... More

This is probably the best public park in West Malaysia I have been to. Very clean and green. Could see a lot locals doing exercise around the park. Spotted some couple taking wedding photos in the park too.
