My kids and I loved this zoo so much we paid twice for the ticket -- once to visit at night, and the other, in the day. Well-landscaped like a park, shady and has interesting animals -- the tigers, lions, the gaur were our favourites to see. There's a free train service to take you around the zoo and this... More

Our entourage consists of me, hubby and 4 kids aged 9 years to 16months. Entrance fee is RM16 for adults and RM8 for children above 3. Initially thought it was a tad expensive but looking at the well maintained grounds, it was justified. We took the tram at the entrance to have an overview of the zoo, which is about... More

Taiping is a Town of Rain, it rains almost every hour. My night safari trip is almost done in the dark and rains, but! It was definitely fun. Animals are more lively in the night, you can clearly hear their sound came out from somewhere and it makes you feels like you are in an adventurous jungle trip. An alligator... More

Car park fee is RM3 per entry; ticketing machine wasn't working, hence to exit we had to go through the entrance lane. The tram needs maintenance. The service needs improvement. Couldn't hear clearly what the guide was saying. He used Malay language and I don't think the Korean tourists understood. Should consider using English if he saw foreigners in the... More

The animals looked healthy and well fed. Lots of space for the animals. Children can enjoy walking and take their time to observe the animals. The tram is there for those who prefer not to walk. The zoo has lots of trees so its quite shady.

the zoo is so much bigger now. it is a good place for a walk as there are so many shady trees. the tram ride is a good way to explore the zoo. you can get down at any stop but it is best to take a full circle then walk to the places you want to see again. there... More

This has got to be the saddest, most poorly maintained zoo I have come across. We went to the night safari first and it was lousy. The entrance looked sad and deserted, with hardly any crowd. The wait for a tram was long and when we finally got onto one, we had to inhale the fumes from the exhaust throughout... More

Nice zoo, but expensive price. The animals are well kept, but the toilets are not. We went for the night safari and for that price we were hoping to see more. The area covered for night safari is not that big, so we could finish our visit less than an hour on foot.

We went for the night safari as it would something different to the normal zoo visit. You get driven around the zoo at night in a open side tram type vehicle. The tour guide only spoke Malay so we didn't understand any of what he was saying and he just stops for a few seconds at each spot for you... More
