Although I did not get to meet Anna because my Pizzo visit took place in late April, she was an invaluable resource for me. We communicated via email numerous times. She provided many pieces of information to help make my entire six weeks in Italy a wonderful experience. She did genealogical research for me and was able to find records... More

I booked a tour for my grandma, my mother and me to Calabria. It was our first time there, we didnt speak the language and most important of all, I wanted to make my grandma happy. When she was 5 years old, she and her family had to leave Italy after the second world war. They travelled to America looking... More

We were rather apprehensive about going to such a small town, but Anna made it feel as if we were with family. We would have been absolutely lost without her. She is extremely knowledgable with an engaging personality. We chose the full Pizzo tour (the cave church, castle, as well as gelato in the piazza) and found it to be... More

We arranged a couple of tours with Anna, the Sweet Pizzo and also the Piedigrotto. She also arranged tickets for the evening tour of Stromboli. Apart from the information she gave us on our actual tours Anna's local knowledge of Pizzo was very helpful including restaurant and taxi information. The information available in English in the Piedigrotto is minimal so... More

After spending 4 holidays in Pizzo, our family decided we needed to understand more about our holiday destination. There is virtually no English written information on the area and using an online translation leaves one struggling to decipher the real meaning. We came across Anna's "Secret Pizzo Tour" and booked in with a trip. We met in the main square... More

We have holidayed in Pizzo for the last couple of years but have only discovered it's hidden treasure during our Tour with Anna Rose. Her in depth knowledge of the area and it's magnificent history was wonderful from start to finish. The Tour is most informative and the talk is delivered in a very relaxed manner. There was so much more... More

Pizzo is best known for the Murat Castle, the Chiesa di Piedigrotta and, of course, il Tartufo! However, this tour with Anna Rose taught me that there was much, much more to learn about this beautiful old town. Pizzo is literally a maze of narrow backstreets and alleyways, but my walk with Anna brought to light the fascinating history and... More

Anna's insight and help were invaluable to my trip to Pizzo. As it was my first visit to Calabria, I so appreciated her knowledge and recommendations of lodging, restaurants, and things to do. She was helpful in arranging wonderful transport for us to and from the train station. She had to go out of town shortly after our arrival. However,... More

This was our first trip to Italy and Pizzo was our first stop. We wanted to stay in a small town which was authentic and not too busy. We fell in love with Pizzo! It is a wonderful town with narrow streets, churches, small shops & cafes and is full of character. Thanks & well done to Anna who was... More

Anna Rose came highly recommended to me by friends who had visited Pizzo on a number of occasions. I had also visited her website www.dolcevitapizzo.co.uk which was highly informative and helpful. I arrived on Monday night and made contact with her, arranging the visit for Wednesday morning to suit me best. Anna's knowledge and understanding of this part of Italy... More
