In some reviews people commented about how the sharks and rays are penned in cages. But when we talked to our tour guides they explained how they can come and go and are drawn by the food. We got up close with the sharks and rays and it helped prepare us for our reef swim with sharks later in the... More

First off, I think some of the other reviews for this location are really more about snorkelling in the Bora Bora lagoon as opposed to the actual Lagoonarium facility. We were part of a Paul Gauguin cruise that included Bora Bora and we decided to do the Lagoonarium excursion. We thought we were going to be snorkelling with tropical fish... More

This place is a little gem. Our dive shop guide took us there to swim with the rays and it was quite an experience. These animals are gracious and hungry. However, the current in this area in quite strong so one should be careful but this place is definitely worth a visit.

If you are staying at the St Regis, this is a must activity. Its so much fun and can be done when the weather is being unfriendly.

We did the afternoon visit and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We took our own gear from our hotel ( all you really need is a snorkel and water shoes) The animals are incredible and roam freely in LARGE fenced in areas. Seeing the Sharks, rays and fish up close was great. I suspect the full day affair is too much.

A great snorkeling experience with Sting Rays, Black Tip Sharks, Lemon Sharks, and Nurse Shark, and lot of colorful fish. You can also see the sea turtles in an enclosure. We snorkeled with our 4 year old son with each one listed above. The host took care of my son and gave him an up-close experience with different kinds of... More
