While staying in Merida for a couple of months I wanted to take the unique chance to get a hands-on insight into kiting. I therefore took several beginners classes with Jessica and Nick in Progreso. Although every start is tough I had lots of fun being shown how to set-up a kite, manoevring it through the "wind window" and finally... More

Jessica has the most fantastic kite surfing school on the beach. This is a great area for kiting as the winds are consistant and the beach is good. jessica and nick provide a wonderful place to learn, or if you are already pretty good its a great place to stay and hang out with other kiters. Its a wonderful base... More

We first had the plan to stay only for 2 nights. It was so great, the kite spot as well as the hospitality. So we decided to stay for a whole week. I recommend this accomodation to everybody who likes kitesurf, great view to the ocean and a nice and uncomplicated bunch of people. Thanks jess & nick, Irene &... More

I had the pleasure of staying at Jessica's and Nick's and having both of them as instructors. Both are very gifted teachers and are very passionate about their sport. Both exude a ton of energy and are very patient with their students. Their kite gear is top of the line and their is a TON of selection to chose from.... More

I just spent 2 weeks kiting at this awesome spot. It's amazing to still find a spot where you can have lots of space and great consistent wind. The school is really well equipped & as I was hiring gear, I was able to kite every condition on brand new equipment which was awesome. Jessica & Nick the owners were... More

This was my first time in Mexico and i was a little scared because I was traveling alone however as soon as i met Jessica Winkler and Nick Hall the owners of the Kite Beach Yucatan I felt at home. From March 3-18th I stayed at KBY and did both the intermediate and advanced camp. My boyfriend joined me and stayed from March 9-18th to do the advanced camp. Before going, we tried to find wind data but couldn't find much, thus on a leap of faith believed the locals on Kite Yucas and Jessica Winkler who asserted there was... More

After traveling for nearly 40hrs from Finland by plane, bus and automobile and arriving at about 4am local time, we were shattered! but the amazing welcome we got certainly surprised me! Jessica came more than willing to the door and invited us in with open arms, offered us a drink and promised wind for the following day! what more could... More

If you are an independent kiteboarder or a complete novice, you will find Kite Beach Yucatan to be a stunning place to kiteboard. The water is shallow and the winds are perfect. Jessica is a masterful teacher, encouraging, clear and supportive. She will work with you to advance your kiting skills starting at whatever level you find yourself. I've been... More
