The Hill of Crosses was an unexpected wonder on our journey; although infinitely photographable, the photos don't due justice to the sheer quantity of crosses or the strange beauty and otherworldliness of this site. It's worth deviating from the main highway to experience this. If you are religious, you will be inspired by the story of people expressing their faith.... More

I'm not religious, but the history of the hill of crosses and the sheer amount of crosses is well worth the visit. It's only about 15 minutes out of town and in winter surrounded in snow it's quite beautiful indeed

Hello. This is a very Special and Spiritual Place. I purchased a silver cross and my daughter and I place the cross on the hill of Crosses. I do not have a bucket list , but if you do please place this special place on your bucket list. A tribute to the Lithuanians who place their Trust and Love in... More

Very peaceful place, specially when it's -20C and covered in white! Would have enjoyed more time to explore it though, but with that cold it wasn't really possible!

First, being a proud New Yorker, I say what's on my mind. I realize some may not be moved by this place, but anyone giving this less that four out of five is a complete moron! I strongly suggest reading five minutes of history about this place before coming, to have at least a small level of appreciation for what... More

One of the most creepy thing i saw in my entire life. But i should say i liked it, it is really nice to visit in a sunny day. You must take a public bus from Siauliai coach station and then walk 2 kilometers to find the hill of crosses. A nice excursion.

We were there alone and it was pretty scary to walk there in late evening, but still impressing. It is definetely MUST SEE in Lithuania.

Its 2 hours from Kaunas or shorter from Riga, either way it is worth the side trip. You only need an hour or so there and it is open all year. Quite interesting to learn the history behind it and spend time wandering through.

I went to the Hill of Crosses with a group of friends from Riga. It was a trip that was mesmerising to me. I'd always wanted to see this place and I was not disappointed. The only thing that annoyed me was the beggar on the steps there. Anyways, a must see whether you're religious or not.

This is a very interesting and different site in Lithuania. I made the trip while staying in Latvia. Worth visiting it.
