Great attraction must do. Found it hard to get info on how to get there so here it is: How to get to Hill of Crosses from Vilnius, Lithuania We went to the Hill of Crosses from Siauliai ( pronounced Show-lay ) by catching a train from vilnius main station. We didn't notice any ticket machines around so we bought... More

I really enjoyed this place, I have never seen anything quite like it. Some of the crosses are quite moving and the place as a whole is visually stunning. There was a good mix of tourists and locals when we were there but it wasn't crowded, it felt like a very authentic Lithuanian experience to me. Also, there is a... More

Very impressive indeed...really speechless when we were there. An unforgettable experience. Not easy to get there on public transport, and yet we would recommend all to pay a visit to this sacred place.....

The Hill of Crosses was an incredible symbol of defiance against Soviet oppression, and since Lithuanian ndependence the number of crosses has kept increasing.

The Hill of Crosses in Lithuania is one the most moving places in the world (to me). Believers in the God pray and then may leave their own cross (purchased at a nearby shop) at this hill. Read the other reviews about this hallowed ground, but to be there is a once in a lifetime experience. I planted a cross... More

It's not so much the Hill of Crosses itself that impresses but the spirit of religious rebellion behind it. While the Hill of Crosses dates from the 1800s, it's time of the Russian occupation from 1944-1990 that really resonates. Religion was outlawed and the hill was bulldozed at least three times by the Russians. However, the crosses kept being replaced.... More

Name says it all, it's a hill with crosses, however the number and scale of crosses is incredible and worth exploring for half an hour or so.
