Highly spectcular and moving place, whether of not you are a believer. Goet there before 10.30 to avoid the coaches full of pilgrims. Take your time to roam in and out of this unique hillock and soak in the atmosphere. Plenty of food for thoughts as well. Highly picturesque, too.

It looks very strange, not understandable. Why people choose to put all crosses in tjis place? When did it start? What does it mean? We didn't find any information about it. So, it can be very special attraction, but they have to give more information in order to understand it...

While you go to the Hill of Crosses do not imagine it's a huge hill. The meaning is different is a spiritual and secrete place with hope, peace, good memories about the loved ones. All the time people are welcome to bring their own cross, rosaries, to place on the hill. Also you can buy it in a outside store... More

Located close to Siauliai, the Hill of Crosses is easy to reach by car (it might be more of a problem with public transports). There is a parking fee should you park in the official parking (but you can park for free around it). The view of so many crosses placed on this small hill is quite surprising (even for... More

If you ever travel to Lithuania, this place is just a must. Amazing, very mystic. Doesn't matter if you are believer or not, this hill leaves a great affect! There is opportunity to put your own cross there. Don't matter if you don't have one, they sell it locally. Only four stars because me being Lithuanian I remember this place... More

This site is said to have started during the rebellion of 1831 and originally a site of peaceful protest. Now it is a sort of holy pilgrimage site. Seemingly in the middle of nowhere, the little hillock is covered in crosses ranging in size from a few centimeters to crosses the size of telegraph poles! Even Pope John Paul ii... More

Quite a special place this one. We got it on a gloomy day which added to the mood. It was a little creepy in a sense, but very beautiful! I'd recommend staying a while and taking a really good look at the detail. Quite amazing. Definitely worth the visit!!!

Literally about a million crosses all stuck in the ground or hanging g from each other. From 10cm big to several meters high, made of every type of material. It's worth a gawk.

although when I was there there was many people visting the site but the environment is very quiet. Walking around the crosses was a really peaceful atmosphere. Some meditation could be made easily in the chapel behind the hill.

A marvel vision of the Lithuanian spirit. The Soviets weren't able to rid the country of this sacred site by taking away the crosses. The people persevered and the site continues to expand it's a humbling experience to visit this beautiful site!
