This part of our wonderful visit to Villa Dievole. We got to taste the full range of their wines starting our visit in the bar nest door to the hotel reception and finishing in the cellar.

My husband and I visited Dievole a few days ago for a wine tour. We found the tour fairly interesting as we had the chance to be only the two of us with the guide and we could ask all the questions we wanted but it was quite sales oriented and too expensive for what is was (15/eur per person... I believe when I say this no other words will be required to describe our stay. We travelled as a group of 9 with a week long booking at Villa Dievole. We had not a single complaint from not a single person about anythig the entire week. The country setting with beautiful surroundings and unbelievably wonderful chef prepared wine dinners... More

the winery would have been fun even if there was no wine - tuscan countryside, great lunch, no boss. they took us on a winery tour with four sangiovese grape tastings. all were good; the IGP non-certfied chianti was a nice blend. later in the store, there was a tasting of a dessert wine (muscato) - also, no pressure sales... My husband I visited Dievole in August for our honeymoon. We sat outside for lunch and it was AMAZING. Next, we started the tour with 8-10 other folks - one family had a child which was kind of annoying, but whatever. They take you to a few different spots to try the different wine. I personally prefer smaller wineries -... More

I visited this vineyard/hotel by accident six years ago. We went to see a graveyard nearby and found a wonderful serene hotel with a warm staff and an excellent array of wines. We went on the vineyard tour and it was one of the highlights of our time in Tuscany. Needless to say this time it was high on my... More

We visited the Dievole winery earlier this afternoon with our twin 11yo boys. Our group of six was hosted by Veronica who was knowledgable, entertaining and passionate about the winery and the region. We tasted four wines in different parts of the winery. We received a background on the winery and its history (including several claims of being the best... More

Our tour guide, Enzo, brought us to this vineyard in May 2012 (on our honeymoon). From the second we arrived, until we loaded the van with our purchases, this place was magical. The grounds of the vineyard were breathtaking, and my camera captured every angle. Each part of the tour provided various wines to taste and also included meats and... More

This is should be on your list of things to do if you're in the Chianti region. Dario Castagno is passionate and extremely knowledgeable about the area. After the private tour of the winery and learning its history, we stayed for a delicious lunch at Dievole with Dario. This was easily one of the highlights of our vacation. Thanks Dario!

On the recommendation of our hosts in Siena, six of us booked a tour of the Dievole Winery with Dario Castagno, and we are so glad we did! The winery itself is lovely and has done some wonderful things to honor its wines, its history, and its employees through the 900 (!) years of its existence. But what really made... More
