Nice church

The church is nice, there's a casino on one corner, but Serpost across the park from the church is the place to get stamps and mail postcards et al

Nothing to write home about; however, there is a lot of public seating available with well maintained gardens. It is very romantic and relaxing; however, it is noisy. I would recommend stopping by for a few minutes to take a look at the plants and trees.

The most interesting part of this square was the monologue we listened to from a Dutch scientist who has been visiting Peru and other countries in South America for years!

Lots of public seating. Well manicured lawns and flower beds. Geranium heaven. Exquisite trellises of amazing pink and purple flowers.

Nice little park / plaza with good ambience but the silly taxi drivers drive around the square honking their horns to attract clients, so silly, so unnecessary and so inconsiderate.

At down town this old plaza, is the center of Piura, surrounded by the Catedral church, and some classic buildings around. there is an ice cream shop called Chalan, ask for the "cremolada" (there are at lest 15 different fruit flavors), take a bench at the plaza and enjoy it. If you hear birds noise very loud they are, the... More

The greenery of the gardens in the centre of this square make it a pleasant refuge from the prevailing heat in Piura. Some of the surrounding architecture, notably the cathedral, is pleasant. Compared with the many more impressive main squares in Peru, this one is just average.

A nice square in Piura, near excellent Cappucino Restaurant (Tacna street 786) and the Marques bar inside the Hotel Los Portales (Libertad 875). Bring a book and enjoy some of the shadowed benches in the middle of a sunny day.

An attractive small green and concrete space where one can simply sit with many other locals (preferably in the shade), and watch the ever-changing hive of activity occurring all around you, while at the same time being offered a countless number of times, sunglasses and shoeshine’s.
