I went there sometime in 2011 during the off-season when there was no ferry. we went there from teknaf by a large boat with people of that island. at that time we, 3 friends and 2 more unknown couples were the only tourist going there. we stayed there for 2 nights and enjoyed the idle time by the beach, fresh... This place is simply amazing. Crystal clear water, sandy beach, coral, wide blue sky made this place one of the most beautiful islands in the world.but there are few things to be noted : don't go for only one day attest go for one a half day , otherwise it would be very difficult to look around the island.. there... The best place for relaxation. The beach is so beautiful and quite. Water is blue. Its not a large island. Probably, you can walk the whole island. You can eat varieties of sea foods. Those are really tasty. We had BBQ with a big fish besides lake. See some more photos here: http://wp.me/P2Yrbx-5s

I have read all the reviews on this rather remote island and compared them with the experience I had there with my wife (H) about five or six years ago. We travelled by sea truck from Teknaf and it took about 3 hours. The sound of the diesel engine was deafening and coupled with the loud-speaker playing deshi pop music... More

St. Martin is the most beautiful place of Bangladesh. It is just so serene. Nature at its best. I visited St. Martin on the Valentine Day (14th February) with my family and stayed for 1 night which is a must. It is of absoulutely no use to have a day-trip in St. Martin. Must stay overnight. You need to go... More

1500 people arrive a day in high season. Most are day trippers dumping garbage on the beach along with the hotel. Children sell pieces of cut coral, the ferries blast sand all over the coral and have killed it. This island is unique in Bangladesh but there are far nicer islands in Asia. But if you are in Bangladesh, spending... More

Saint Martin Island, Bangladesh, one of the most attractive tourist place. I've been there for two days. It was a great tour for me. Blue sky, Sandy beach and turquoise sea make the total place awesome. Travelers can go by bus or plane from Dhaka to Cox's Bazaar. It takes only 45 mins by air. Then From Cox's Bazaar hired a... More

St. Martin's Island is a small island (area only 8 km2) in the northeastern part of the Bay of Bengal, about 9 km south of the tip of the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf peninsula, and forming the southernmost part of Bangladesh. There is a small adjoining island that is separated at high tide, called Chhera island. It is about 8 km west... More
