We enjoyed a delightful trail ride with Valerie and her very helpful and informative guide Irwin, who identified many of the native plants/trees and even gathered some delicious pink grapefruit for a wonderfully refreshing snack en route. We had such a good time - the elevated position gives a whole new aspect of the rainforest, as well as superb ocean... More

We met a nice young waiter at big pop pas in Portsmouth who suggested we try this trip out. It was fantatstic. I went with my 2 boys 6 and 10 years old, who rode on their own horses. The owner Valerie is from Canada and has 20 plus horses she cares for. Valerie and her guide brought us high... More

My wife and i had the pleasure of riding with Valerie and Irvine in Jan 12, we arrived in Dominica via cruise ship, the adventure started straight away! being Yorkshire folk we were far too tight to catch a taxi to Portsmouth so opted for the bus, Valerie emailed us and gave us directions to the bus stop, now these... we went on a horseback riding tour up a mountain side where we experienced wonderful views of the ocean and surrounding mountains ( of which there are plenty in this carribean country!). We also got to see many of the native plants including a local farmers land who was growing coffee, bananas, citrus, cocoa and lots more growing through our... More

My 16 year old daughter and I enjoyed horseback riding with Valerie and her delightful chatty 7 year old daughter Collatta. The riding was done in the Portsmouth area (about 1 to 1-1/2 hour bus ride from Roseau - the bus driver will drop you off right at the entrance if you ask). We were riding up in the mountains... This was the first time both my girlfriend and I have ridden horses and we loved it. The owner, Valerie, and her coworker, Irvin, were both very informative and very welcoming. They brought us through the rainforest and up a mountain on the horses, stopping periodically to sample fresh fruit on the trail. Great cultural experience as well as a... More

Valerie is charming and helpful with lovely friendly horses. A group of 6 was no problem, even with 4 year-old and 8 year-old boys. The ride was gentle and easy for all of us novices and with some lovely and unexpected views. More
