Description: Glenfiddich, producer of the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch...
Glenfiddich, producer of the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky, has developed a new tour programme for The Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown, Scotland. From January 2015, visitors will be able to choose from a tailored range of three paid-for tours, including an option to draw a dram straight from a cask in our oldest warehouse. The over-18s-only tours cater for all interests and budgets, from those looking for a unique behind the scenes distillery visit through to whisky enthusiasts seeking a fully immersive experience, and vary in duration from one and a half hours up to three and a half hours. Further details are below: 1. Explorer Tour (£10): a fully guided tour of the distillery and Warehouse 8, including a tutored tasting of four award winning drams. Tours from 9.30Pm - 4.00Pm Draw Your own Dram (£25): those on the Explorer tour also have the opportunity to draw a 20cl bottle directly from a cask laid down more than 12 years ago and log it in Warehouse 1's logbook. Glenfiddich Solera Deconstructed (£35): a new hands-on, tailored experience with a full introduction to Glenfiddich's unique Solera system. Visitors can nose several samples and enjoy a tutored tasting of 4 cask strength 15 year old samples before recreating their very own version of Glenfiddich Solera. Two tours daily 2. New Pioneer (£95): a half-day immersive experience for whisky enthusiasts. This in-depth tour offers insight into the marrying process in Warehouse 6, and the opportunity to bottle a 20cl whisky from the Malt Master's personal selection of casks. Finally, guests enjoy a nosing and tasting masterclass in the Grant Family Home, featuring five Glenfiddich whiskies matched with appetisers. One daily tour. We are extremely proud of the fact that Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family-owned today and all tours will continue to offer an unforgettable insight into our unique, family-run heritage. We look forward to welcoming guests to our distillery.

Definitely one of the better whisky tours out there. I would recommend signing up for the middle of the three possible tours, the Solera Tour. You get a little bit more info on the whisky, get to walk around the grounds a bit more, and at the end of it you still get to make a batch of your own... More

We made the basic tour an payed 10 GBP for it. It was an informative insight given by a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. It included a tasting of four of the most popular Glenfiddich whiskys. Compared to other tours we did (Aberlour and Balvenie for much higher fees) it was not our best one but worth the price

An attractive and informative tour of this distillery is provided at no cost to the visitor. Well briefed guides take you through the process of making malt whisky in a relatively short but comprehensive tour. It finishes with the opportunity to taste various drams of some of Scotland's finest malt whiskies. Ir is not to be missed. A friendly cafe... More

We stopped by late in the day and managed to catch the last 'Explorer's Tour' (£10 each and the most basic of the 3 tour options). I'm quite happy we did, as my first distillery tour, I felt it was a good introduction to how whisky is made and how each distillery creates their own flavours out of the 'aqua... More

Such a lovely area and the distillery is too. Cetainly worth going out your way to visit and to be rewarded with a wee dram. Careful, however if you are a driver as drink driving limits lower this side of the border.

Explorer £10 1hour 30 min. Solera tour £35 2 hours 30 min, or the Pioneers tour £95 4 hours. I took the explorer tour which started with a... More

One of the largest and commercial distilleries in town. It has very slick operations and tours. We went on the "Solera deconstructed" tour. Just 2.5hours with a tour of the distillery and at the end, we sat in a lab and mixed our own version of Glenfiddich. Glenfiddich also has one of the biggest and best showrooms around. Lots of... Today me and my father took the Pioneers Tour. It was 95 pound, so not cheap. But, it was definitely worth the money! Excellent tour, with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide (Gemma). You could tell she is a whisky lover herself. Very nice stories of this family run business. So even though it's number 1 in volume, this really... More
