You'll find the Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown, the malt whiskey capital of the world. I had initially planned on their shorter, free, Classic Tour, but it was going to be another hour before that one got started. The Explorers Tour (90 minutes, £10 per person) was starting right when we arrived, so we opted for that instead. Go all out,... More

A group of us did the free tour and would definitely recommend it. It starts off with the compulsory video show - it seems every attraction in Scotland starts off with a movie for some reason and then moved on to the distillery. Our tour guide was very suitably dressed in a kilt and was very knowledgable about all aspects... More

We decided to GI for the Explorers tour for £10pp. Otherwise tours are free. But for us it was a really intimate experience with only one other couple. 2 hrs around the distillery ending with a tasting session. Having been to other distillery tours, it was clearly apparent this was a family affair and all staff loved their work and... More

We arrived early to have lunch in the restaurant and then started the Pioneers tour at 2pm. We finished the tasting after 6pm. Our guide Stefan Masson was most knowledgeable both on the process and the end product. Thoroughly enjoyable and thank you

We have visited here several times and love the location, the distillery itself and the well stocked shop. However....we came with the intention of buying 4 hand filled bottles for presents having bought 2 last year and found at the price has gone up by £20 a bottle. It's not even as if it's a better whisky, still just a... More

We popped in whilst passing and were fortunate to go on the free distillery tour. We found the staff very friendly, approachable and accommodating (we have a 21 month old toddler). The guide had only been at Glenfiddich for a few months but she was charming and knowledgeable. We were surprised at the free tasting at the end of the... More

Did the Pioneer's three hour tour. Excellent quality from beginning to the end. Highly recommended to everyone who is interested in whisky and its history.

As somewhat of a veteran of different distilleries, primarily in Kentucky Bourbon country, this was a great visit to a different type. The best part about Glenfiddich is that it is still family owned and independent of the big conglomerates. We were there in the off season, so our tour was quite intimate, but it was very interesting for sure.... More
