Description: Glenfiddich, producer of the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch...
Glenfiddich, producer of the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky, has developed a new tour programme for The Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown, Scotland. From January 2015, visitors will be able to choose from a tailored range of three paid-for tours, including an option to draw a dram straight from a cask in our oldest warehouse. The over-18s-only tours cater for all interests and budgets, from those looking for a unique behind the scenes distillery visit through to whisky enthusiasts seeking a fully immersive experience, and vary in duration from one and a half hours up to three and a half hours. Further details are below: 1. Explorer Tour (£10): a fully guided tour of the distillery and Warehouse 8, including a tutored tasting of four award winning drams. Tours from 9.30Pm - 4.00Pm Draw Your own Dram (£25): those on the Explorer tour also have the opportunity to draw a 20cl bottle directly from a cask laid down more than 12 years ago and log it in Warehouse 1's logbook. Glenfiddich Solera Deconstructed (£35): a new hands-on, tailored experience with a full introduction to Glenfiddich's unique Solera system. Visitors can nose several samples and enjoy a tutored tasting of 4 cask strength 15 year old samples before recreating their very own version of Glenfiddich Solera. Two tours daily 2. New Pioneer (£95): a half-day immersive experience for whisky enthusiasts. This in-depth tour offers insight into the marrying process in Warehouse 6, and the opportunity to bottle a 20cl whisky from the Malt Master's personal selection of casks. Finally, guests enjoy a nosing and tasting masterclass in the Grant Family Home, featuring five Glenfiddich whiskies matched with appetisers. One daily tour. We are extremely proud of the fact that Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family-owned today and all tours will continue to offer an unforgettable insight into our unique, family-run heritage. We look forward to welcoming guests to our distillery.

First I'll start by saying I'm not 18, and did not get to taste any of the distill. My group, same age, finished our DofE in a nearby car park after following the whisky trail for days. Park of our mission for our expedition was to find out how whisky is made so to end we did the free tour... More

Visited the Glenfiddich distillery with my family to get a first hand understanding of how single malts are made. The journey of the malt from raw to whiskey was amazing. The 4 single shots of various ages 12 thru 18 provided at the end of the tour were the icing on the cake. A must visit for a single malt... More

We started off with a movie that set the tone: an almost mythologized version of the history of the Grant family and its development of the Glenfiddich whisky distillery. Much emphasis on the artisanship and dedication of the men and the lands, supported by Celtic tunes. All roused by this movie we set off on a truly informative tour of... More

Although not as good as the Balvenie - partly because they have to deal with a lot more people -, this is a nice tour. The video at the beginning is very well made, and the guides are efficient. The Glenfiddich Shop has some wonderful items.

Hubby’s 40th birthday, and we chose to do the Glennfiddich Pioneer’s tour. The tour was 4 hours and very detailed on the family‘s history and how the process of whiskey is made. This particular is limited to small groups only and is only given during certain times, so be sure to book in advance. We happen to catch the distillery... More

Went to go on the tour on 18th July to find out the distillery is not open for a couple of weeks, due to it being low season they are doing maintenance, so very disappointing and this should have been advertised I their website. I'm not sure how it is low season considering it is Annual Holiday time in the... More

Our first visit to a distillery was an eye opener. Although it was silent season but seeing all the implements and walking through the distillery gave us better insight of single malt whiskies.

A very interesting talk and tour added to by some amusing anecdotes by the tour guide. Depending which tour you pay for the amount of tasting varies, but a great way to end the tour, just remember Scotland has lower alcohol limits for driving. There is also a cafe for a snack. Check age of children allowed.
