Description: Glenfiddich, producer of the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch...
Glenfiddich, producer of the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky, has developed a new tour programme for The Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown, Scotland. From January 2015, visitors will be able to choose from a tailored range of three paid-for tours, including an option to draw a dram straight from a cask in our oldest warehouse. The over-18s-only tours cater for all interests and budgets, from those looking for a unique behind the scenes distillery visit through to whisky enthusiasts seeking a fully immersive experience, and vary in duration from one and a half hours up to three and a half hours. Further details are below: 1. Explorer Tour (£10): a fully guided tour of the distillery and Warehouse 8, including a tutored tasting of four award winning drams. Tours from 9.30Pm - 4.00Pm Draw Your own Dram (£25): those on the Explorer tour also have the opportunity to draw a 20cl bottle directly from a cask laid down more than 12 years ago and log it in Warehouse 1's logbook. Glenfiddich Solera Deconstructed (£35): a new hands-on, tailored experience with a full introduction to Glenfiddich's unique Solera system. Visitors can nose several samples and enjoy a tutored tasting of 4 cask strength 15 year old samples before recreating their very own version of Glenfiddich Solera. Two tours daily 2. New Pioneer (£95): a half-day immersive experience for whisky enthusiasts. This in-depth tour offers insight into the marrying process in Warehouse 6, and the opportunity to bottle a 20cl whisky from the Malt Master's personal selection of casks. Finally, guests enjoy a nosing and tasting masterclass in the Grant Family Home, featuring five Glenfiddich whiskies matched with appetisers. One daily tour. We are extremely proud of the fact that Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family-owned today and all tours will continue to offer an unforgettable insight into our unique, family-run heritage. We look forward to welcoming guests to our distillery.

We did the 4 hour Pioneer Tour and highly recommend it. Our tour guide Beth was incredibly knowledgeable and was a treat to spend four hours with. The tasting at the end had 5 different years worth of scotch and had great food pairings (smoked trout, venison, cheddar, creme brulee and one other).

Our first tour of many, loved the history and first-hand view of the process. Enjoyed tasting the flights of 4 to appreciate the ranges in flavors. The whisky fudge was a new treat.

I visited with 2 friends. We first went to the restaurant, where we had a very good lunch, at reasonable value. I particularly recommend the cleverly presented, delicious haggis! We then went on their £10 tour, which was comprehensive enough for us, and included 4 10cc drams at the end and a proper tasting session with our group which was... More

A great day out with a difference.Took a bit of finding but it was all worth it. The tour is interesting & informative. The guide was very good. And at the end you get too sample the product, even the drivers are not forgotten as you get a miniature bottle to take home. The onsite restaurant is very busy most of the... After traveling all the way from America we felt warmly welcomed by our tour guide Vicky, who was well informed, kind and an overall pleasure to be with. Throughout the tour she answered all our questions with clarity and she was engaging to listen to. Glenfiddich is beautiful and the heritage of the site and its whiskey was beyond our... More

With friends from Norway, we visited the distillery and went on the 1 1/2hr tour. Well worth the tour price. All of us found the tour very informative and interesting. The sampling at the end was a real education. A visit to the Grouse Inn on the Cabrach rounded off an excellent day out.

Had a great trip round the distillery. Our guide was Louise who was well informed and gave us detailed history of the distillery and whiskey making. It ended of with a tasting of 4 of their whiskeys. The 15yr was my favorite

This place is worth seeing on the basis that it's one of the largest distilleries in Scotland, so offers a different (industrial) perspective to smaller distilleries. The tour is very detailed and the guides very knowledgeable, and you can try 4 different whiskies afterwards. For £10 each, this is good value. Also, unlike other distilleries no under 18's allowed at... More

We had already visited aberlour the day before and had Emma as our guide who just knew whiskey inside out. So felt a little deflated with the bigger distillery experience. Guide though knowledgable. Just didn't live up to Emma the day before. £10 each and 4 whiskies tasted. Shop had whisky, quite expensive clothing in it. Some gorgeous decanters and... More
