I'm not a whiskey drinker in any sense of the word, but that doesn't mean that I can't appreciate the skills and dedication that goes into making a world class product. During our vacation to Scotland, one place we wanted to visit was the world famous Glenfiddich distillery. The grounds are very beautiful and very well maintained. The distillery was... More

We were on holiday in the area and decided to do some distillery visits as you do when around the whisky trial, this distillery was an excellent and well kept attraction which does receive a lot of visitors from around the world. The size of the area and distillery does not however make the visit seem rushed or over crowded,... More

We visited quite a few distilleries on our trip around around Scotland, and even though Glen Fiddich distillery is a large, well oiled machine, it is well worth a visit. There is a free tour which offers a tasting of 3 whiskies at the end, or I think that the Explorers Tour (which we did for £10) is well worth... More

We did the classic tour that was free and lasted 1h. It started with a "bit too much" video about the history of the distillery but it went on with a tour around that explained the basic principles of how whisky making happens. We also got to try the 3 classics of Glenfiddich 12y, 15y and 18y, for free, which... More

The gardens were beautifully planted and really well maintainedThe decor inside is very well done and i particularly liked the antler chandelier..The classic tour is a free tour and well worth it led by guides who speak different languages and they all were kilts. At the end of the tour there is free whisky tasting and water and orange juice for... We did the classic tour here which run on the hour and is free to do. Our guide was faultless...smiley, friendly, enthusiastic, informative and bi-lingual which was most impressive. the tour lasted an hour and gave us a basic overview of the huge distillery (did you know that the trees surrounding the site have turned black because of the alcohol... We had limited time to travel this region, and chose to do the free classic tour in lieu of the paid tour, only for the sake of time. We got a solid hour tour, complete with a sample of 3 small shots of whisky. Amazing!

We visited this distillery because we love Glenfiddich whisky and to our surprise the one-hour tour was free. Connor, the outgoing tour leader was great and answered all our questions patiently and in detail. The cherry on the cake was when we sampled three drams at the end of the tour. Fantastic!

The Glenfiddich distillery has a massive output of 13,000,000 litres of pure alcohol per year and clearly has a massive influx of visitors. The complimentry tour is free, and they have a few more options of tours at various prices. We took the free tour, and in reflection, it might have been better to go for one of the paid... More
