If you visit Fornells take a walk along to the Fornells Tower. Lovely views of the sea and the town itself.

Good attraction to finish with on coastal walk before lunch. The views are extensive and on a clear day you can see most of the coast line. Interesting to think what it must have been like to live there when it was built and what is was used for. Good information board.

Fornells is a pretty little town situated on the north coast of Menorca. There are many small hotels, restaurants, bars, and shops, mostly with views across the long natural harbour. The surrounding countryside is mostly rocky hills and sea cliffs, with excellent views. It's a peaceful and relaxing area, but this hasn't always been the case - as can be... More

We were staying in Fornells this summer so took the opportunity to visit the Tower which I had have not been to before one afternoon. The Tower is intact and because it has all its internal partitions and stairs laid out as they were in times of action, it is very interesting. The young guide inside was happy to chat... More

Quite an interesting venue if you take a short but very pretty walk along the waterfront from the town centre. Formells is well woth a visit with plenty of places to both eat and drink. Some say that this village is one of the most attractive on the Island and who am I to disagree

Seems it was one of the things the English built during their brief possession between 1798 and 1802. There is a small, free car park at the foot of the path to the Torre. En route is a small shrine. Continue up the path to the torre. Entrance was a very reasonable €2.40. Up a few steps brings you to... More

Nice walk from Fornells town up a small incline. Interesting place to visit but there is an entry charge! Nice to see some history in a modern resort. There are also remains of a fort in Fornells with some interesting displays giving the history of the place.

Tower is only open a few short hours a day and you need a car to get to the place! Unless you like a very good walk from the town. It costs 2.20 euros and although thats cheap its one we wish we'd not bothered with.
