We found this when driving around the north of Menorca. It is understated but quite interesting especially for learning about some of the British occupation of the island. The tower information is on boards in Spanish so obtain an English version leafelt at the desk. The spiral staircase to the top is rather tight and could be somewhat claustrophobic for... More

Beautiful Fornells, What more can I say! Just love the area and the island. Fornells tower at the end of the bay gives you views beyond belief, just a stunning coastline.

We accidentally came across Fornell whilst driving around the island. We decided to stop off and walk up to the tower. We had our 5 and 2 year old with us. They quite enjoyed climbing over the hill below. Was disappointed you had to pay to go inside, so didn't bother.

We visited the Tower on a hot day in June but it was well worth the walk up. The small entrance charge to go inside was more than justified and the history of the Tower is fascinating. The views from the top were superb.

Attached to the lovely port of fornells this tower is well positioned and offer a breathtaking view point over the bay and northern menorca. A side from that there s a little guide that describes what the tower is all about and why you should visit. More the place than the history i d say. Worth the visit.

From the main harbour take a walk leaving center town behind, the footpath will take you all the way to the tower and you will be able to enjoy a wonderful view of the open sea.. You can enjoy crystal clear water of a small 'cala' right at the end of the foot path and watch the kayaks on the... More

Wouldn't make a special journey but worth a look if you're in Fornells, as nice to see a bit of local history. Go on a good day and you'll get some nice views from the top. I don't know why one of the other reviews stated you can't get inside, because you can - maybe it's closed out of season?

The tower is at the end point of the path along Fornell's marina and overlooks the town. Entrance is €2.40 (but free on Mondays) and you get an information book to walk round with. It's well maintained inside and there are a couple of displays plus a (very tight!) spiral staircase to get to the top. There's nothing particularly unique... More
