I'm glad we took the time to stop by here before we left Bijagua. We were staying at Tenorio lodge and they recommended it. Our guide was very knowledgeable and instilled in us a sense of how much they care about what they're doing and put a lot of effort into this place e.g. he showed us the frog pond... More

He showed us various plants tended to by his mother and began the walking tour. His uncle Jesus then took over. I was delighted by Jesus as he kept us... More

We really enjoyed our two night visit with the lovely family operating the Finca Verde Lodge. The beds and furnishings are brand new and sparkling! The cabins and dining lodge are situated in a lovingly maintained jungle garden complete with resident sloths and plenty of birds. The young men of the family speak terrific English and everyone is super-helpful. The... More

Stayed here for three weeks as a volunteer and couldn't recommend it highly enough. All the staff are great and the lodge is in a fabulous setting. Saw a couple of sloths and lots of hummingbirds which was awesome. Loved every minute!

I was so surprised by this little gem tucked into the countryside. An incredible cafe with an eclectic menu with very good chicken enchilada's, fantastic pizza, great salads, burgers and fish prepared beautifully with attention to presentation by Julia (of English origin) with some of her grandmother's recipes. The daily breakfasts are also created with flare and details. The mood... More

This is such a special place at Bijagua that everyone must visit. 15 years ago this family decided to heal this piece of land from the damage caused by animal husbandry & turn it into a nature lab, to teach the people about preservation. The road is not that bad for a non 4x4 car. My girlfriend & I arrived... More
