A pretty beach that is not overcrowded. Great for surfers! People with small children may think its unsuitable as it is very "wavy" with strong undercurrents.

You can take early morning strolls, swim or just lay on the sand with a book or magazine. I rather the evening time though where you can watch the sunset.

The Beaches in this area are sandy and very popular. I used to walk the beach regularly and in both direction north towards Bridgetown and South towards St Lawrence Gap

Like: artificial breakwater provides a calmer area for frolicking in the surf. Good for snorkeling. Soft sand just behind the breakwater. Warning: some rocks (and what beach doesn't have some rocks)... so beware or wear some water shoes. Dislike: mats of sea weed arrived during our stay and collected between breakwater and shore. Removal (by volunteers) not anticipated until 1-2... More

Just by accident spotted signs advertising BAnd concerts at the Bandstand on the Boardwalk. We enjoyed the first half of a concert by the Barbados Defence Unit Band. The conductor was a real character, the band, smart, tuneful and the musical programme varied and entertaining. The Boardwalk, Bandstand and facilities are a delight and all the result of handwork and... More

One of the best areas to walk along the boardwalk. Very close to the waters edge and the waves crash up against the coral and man-made barriers.

This beach is gorgeous! Clean and with absolutely incredible views. In the evenings there's such a nice vibe - lots of people walking with children, families and couples. There's also a brilliant farmer's market across the road.

What a lovely view I thought. So I sat down just staring at the shingle beach being stroke by the waves rolling in. Then It dawned on me to make a video. So I did. relax and enoy https://youtu.be/QOZb2_oQZz0

We stayed in this area and frequented this beach every day. It was never crowded. The ocean was quite rough when we were there but it made it that much more pleasant to play in the waves.
