We were feeling a bit tired and decided to take a stroll on the boardwalk to watch the sunset and the waves roll in and out. There is a nice blue beach bar close to the boardwalk. Although there were a lot of people there and we were so close to the main highway, it was relaxing. As you walk... More

I love the broadwalk, a great place to run in the morning. A great mix of walkers, runners and people just looking at the amazing view. If you are expecting lots of eating places, bars like Benidorm - you will be disappointed. This is Barbados, the feature is the view.

In all the time I spent in Barbados I must have walked the board-walk the most. Really pleasant if you are looking for the sea front views and the amazing south west coast line which is truly stunning. There are plenty of places to stop off on route, just a short walk inland from the coast. Beautiful turquoise waters and... More

This is a stunning place to stroll along the coast - see the locals line fishing from the sea and play 'spot the number of crabs'. It is an even walk with a good surface (although a few steps here and there if you want to get off the boardwalk). Perfect for an early evening stroll with plenty of watering... More

Just a perfect stroll along the south coast. Be forewarned that it can get hot, so don't go barefoot. Very safe any time of day, even at night. No vendors hustling trinkets. No crowds. No cyclists. Just people strolling along and a few runners. The view is tremendous and it will take you past some of the nicest beaches on... More

I was fortunate to have been able to spend almost six months from January-June 2014 living in Hastings, and the Boardwalk became my second home. The Boardwalk is a mile long promenade stretching from Accra /Rockley Beach in the east, to Hastings Beach io the west. It's heavily used by locals and visitors alike, especially in the mornings and evenings... More

A great boardwalk from the Coconut Beach Hotel towards The St Lawrence Gap for a distance of about 3 Kilometres with some good eating places along the way. - You need a torch at night. It has a useful covered area about 1/2 way way along which is good for sheltering under when it rains! - And it does. Also... More

A timber and concrete boardwalk along the high tide level. But not much more than the sea to look at with several dilapidated hotels, buliding sites and vacant areas bordering it.
