Amazing distillery and tour. The ultimate Strathisla tasting is a must! Boa and the staff are wonderful, nice and very helpful. Very close to the Keith train station and a three minute walk to the Ugie House Hotel.

All of the world's Chivas Regal comes from this tiny town on the Scottish Whiskey Trail. Very nice tour and tasting experience.

The Strathisla distillery is much smaller than the Glennfiddich distillery in the same area. However, the tour is equally informative and the buildings even more historic. The tasting is fine but keep in mind that the Strathisla single malts which you taste are not widely available outside the UK because 90% of the distillery product goes into Chivas Regal.

Having visited many a distillery in my time, this is by far one of the nicest to take lots of external photos. You do also get an opportunity to take some pictures inside from specified points - many don't even allow this. We did not book after phoning ahead and were assured we would get on the tour as it... 1st distillery visited and did the tour. Very informative and tour guide was very friendly. Enjoyed them. Would have been nice though if we could get more guides available in different language, ie. german translation for the things posted on the wall.

We visited as part of a pre-planned program we had developed to see a number of distilleries. This was recommended to us as a "romantic" distillery. The buildings are heritage listed and date to as early as late 1700's and so have heaps of character. This is a Pernod Ricard distillery and so promotes many products other than just Strathisla.... Strathisla is a beautiful old distillery in lovely grounds at the front, very photogenic classic look old distillery, very nicely maintained. It is owned by Chivas Regal and on the tasting you will get a couple of different ages. It was £7.50 for the tour and four drams good value by our experience. After paying for the tour we waited... An interesting and informative tour, followed by a tasting of a generous amount of four whiskeys. Would definitely recommend.

I am not a whisky drinker but found the tour very interesting. Each stage of the process was explained very well by our guide Kimberley, who made sure that everyone in the group understood. The tasting room was beautiful and we were encouraged to linger in the comfy leather sofas to finish our drinks. The drivers pack is an additional... More
