I strongly recommend the 35 pound tour. We had a small group of novices and experts and we all left feeling we really got our money's worth. Our tour guide Tony was really good and quality of the tastings were excellent. I would recommend you make a reservation well in advance. Beautiful old buildings in a fantastic setting.

We visited the distillery a few weeks ago and it was fantastic. Great surroundings small and friendly. Tony our guide was funny and informative. After the tasting session we went to the very plush lounge and had a few more. At no point were we rushed to leave it was all very relaxing and there was always staff on hand... More

Although this is claimed to be Scotland's oldest distillery, we had never heard of Strathisla so it caught our eye, however we had heard of the renowned Chivas Regal blend of which Strathisla is a large component. When we arrived we did not have long to wait for a tour and we noticed how sumptuous the shop and tasting areas... More

My recent visit to Strathisla was very informative. Such a beautiful setting and lovely surroundings. The basic tour is well worth it as you get 4 whiskies to taste at the end. Very good and affordable gift shop for a little souvineer at the end too. Tour lasts about an hour and explains the full process of making single malt... More

Strathisla is one of the most picturesque of all distilleries, truly gorgeous. It also claims to be the oldest in Highlands. The shop is quite large and a bit sterile, but there is an atmospheric lounge next door. The staff was the friendliest. Since touring distilleries can become a repetitive exercise, we decided not to go on a full tour... More

If you can visit only one distillery during your tour , it must be this . It is the oldest distillery in the Scottish highlands and the most beautiful one , I am told . My husband and I have worked for Pernod Ricard earlier and so this was an obvious choice for us . The tour was lovely. Just... More

The tour is very personal so you feel is quite exclusive. I suggest to try the whiskey liqueur if you are not a whiskey fan.

We had a very personal tour of this distillery with another couple. The great benefit of this whisky place was that it was still manufacturing & producing whisky to this day, unlike many others. We were shown all processes of the whisky making, and could literally feel the different grains, (Eg malt), see & smell each process, from heating up... More

I have nothing to compare it with but the staff at Strathisla Distillery were friendly and helpful. They were happy to tell me about their product and allow tastings. the site was beautiful and there was plenty of parking. Had I time to do a complete tour, I would have. next time....

We had a wonderful tour with Rebecca who made us feel very welcome and also had a good knowledge of the distillery. This is a beautiful distillery and even if you're not a fan of Scotch then it's still worth a visit.
