the "palace" is above the city centre, most of the place is in ruins, however there is a nice view onto Sheki from the castle

Definitely worth an hour of your time, the Xan's Palace is being renovated to all of its former glory. The guides speak English, Russian, Turkish, and Azerbaijan and it is well worth making sure you hitch on to one of their tours. Do be aware that there is an entry fee and you have to pay to take pictures. Oh...

Khan's Palace in Sheki is my favorite place of all the many stops I made travelling around Azerbaijan. The palace and its grounds, surrounding by thick stone walls, were built in the 18th century as the stronghold of the Khan family that ruled the area.
