Beautiful seafront, quiet and select bars, restaurants great and reasonably priced in a select area. Bus numer 10 from central Benidorm about 50 minutes well worth a visit. The old town is beautiful a stroll further on thatn the new town of Altea. Bus fare 3 euros a bargain.

A nice beach if you dont need a sand beach, clean, there is some sand on the top but not in the sea. There is also a climbing net that is fun or the kids.

Pebbly beach, you must by sea shoes to walk into the sea. Beach was quiet enough with nice bars across the road. Closes at 6pm sharp, sunbed man not pleasant!

There is much room and the beach area is great. There are little restaurants on the front . You don't have to walk more than a few yards to get to them. What a great place

Take a walk along the palm tree aligned promenade to Altea, its a lovely flat walk. There is the harbour at Altea and of course Altea old town, this is quite steep but worth the trip. Take water, but plenty of little bars and cafes along the way.

Sand is in very short supply on the beaches in the area, they are mainly large stoney areas but if you don't have children then you can get by. The areas are very popular the views are lovely.

Huge pebbles but there were sun loungers 2 x brollie E12 a day. The sea is vey strong and the sea bed moves accordingly, water gets very deep very quickly but if you are a "swimmer" its ok. Altea is a town of 2 halves, stay on the front if you can and then get a cab/drive to the old... More

The beach is ok a bit, sandy but mostly pebbly, the best beaches are at Benidorm, just a 14 minute Tram ride away. Altea has a lovely old town with winding pebbled streets,if you keep on walking up to the top you come to a Plaza with a Beautiful church at the top. You are allowed in this church,a must see!! There are... More

What a beautiful place. Enough restaurants and bars to visit a different one every night and we were there for 2 weeks. Make sure to visit la teraza and say hi to Jan. Dutch run bar/restaurant and great atmosphere. Best sangria in Spain and the ribs...... Unbelievable

The 'main street' going through Altea can be a bit busy at times and does not give the best impression of the town, but the beach and the old town just have to be given a visit. The beach is pebbles not sand but this gives a certain charm to it. Lovely to walk along and plenty of cafes/restaurants to... More
