Most of Altea beach is pebbly, with just a sprinkling of sand - very hard to touch for most of it. That's fine for me as I don't sunbathe and it also means that the area doesn't get the huge numbers of tourists as neighbouring towns. So in fact for me the lack of sand is really a bonus!

Picking stones on the Mediterranean Coast of Altea, a beautiful place to take a long walk, chat in a coffee shop, or drink a glass of wine. Beautiful!!

Really lovely promenade with lots of restaurants, cafes and bars. Really pleasant experience compared to Benidorm. Much more of a Spanish feel.

eA beautiful boardwalk with a theatre located in the middle, many restaurants and bars invite you to sit in the sun. There is a free parking-place but not enough space to place all the cars. You can go to Parking of Mercadonna.

We travelled out from uk in our 36ft winnebago with a trailer carring a 4x4 .we had intended to stay in CALPE but the sites there were not suitable for our rig so we took the 4x4 and drove down to BENIDORM from there we went to ALTEA and right on the sea front we found CAP BLANC camp site... More

Beautiful seafront, quiet and select bars, restaurants great and reasonably priced in a select area. Bus numer 10 from central Benidorm about 50 minutes well worth a visit. The old town is beautiful a stroll further on thatn the new town of Altea. Bus fare 3 euros a bargain.

A nice beach if you dont need a sand beach, clean, there is some sand on the top but not in the sea. There is also a climbing net that is fun or the kids.

Pebbly beach, you must by sea shoes to walk into the sea. Beach was quiet enough with nice bars across the road. Closes at 6pm sharp, sunbed man not pleasant!

There is much room and the beach area is great. There are little restaurants on the front . You don't have to walk more than a few yards to get to them. What a great place

Take a walk along the palm tree aligned promenade to Altea, its a lovely flat walk. There is the harbour at Altea and of course Altea old town, this is quite steep but worth the trip. Take water, but plenty of little bars and cafes along the way.
