Weather was good when we went (July). Good boat trips from the main town harbour are worth taking. Great restaurants and bars. Beaches are sharp shingle and rather difficult to walk on. Lots of mosquitos.

Not too busy giving us time to study the ruins properly. Castle grounds appear authentic and no rubbish lying around.Worth the 3 euros to go in- although some Greek students got in free! Some nice nearby cafes to rest and plenty of opportunities to take good photos.

Lovely views of the harbour from thetop of the castle, fairly interesting but not very well documented so difficult to learn anything.

Lovely place, I don't normally like this sort of thing but went with my girlfriend; I really enjoyed it! There's something about walking around something that has existed for thousands of years. Reasonable entrance fee too

Very interesting, really enjoyed it but would be impossible for anyone disabled. There are no safety features except for one old fire extinguisher in the middle of nowhere & nothing to stop you falling over the edges so children must be kept in check.

3 euros each, the castle and it's ruins were very interesting and you get some of the best views of the town from the castle

The Castle is brilliant. The castle walls give fantastic views of views all over Kos Town and the coast of Turkey. The castle will excite children as the can walk along the battlements, and pretend they are Knights of the Templars. The castle is quite well preserved, the walls are almost complete and the internal moat which is now dry... More

I liked many many thing's.However whether it is due to money problem's in Greece I found very few happy people. I was making all the effort to converse. On holiday you like to be entertained and told about ure city. Especially as it was my first visit. It was not cheap for us to visit ure Island and very disapointed.... More
