The harbour is picturesque and worth a visit to the town. The shops are lovely in the old part and all prices are reasonable including drinks.

Impressive ruined castle interior with huge perimeter walls with good views. Short description leaflet given with entry ticket and boards in various places giving more details. Toilets on site.

The castle was built by the knights of St.John and is very interesting. There are lovely views of Kos harbour and the town from castle too, worth a visit.

Refreshingly good value, but very minimal information about what you're looking at and and the wealth of history you are walking amongst. We were disappointed and hope that Kos town sees this as a feature to be utilised as a great attraction in the future.

The fortress itself is quite expansive, with amazing views, and great look outs. Sadly as with m at of the ruins in Kos the grounds have not been maintained. Hoping this is because the height of the tourism season hasn't commenced, but somehow think this has been this way for a long time. With such a perfect spot in the... More

This is a must visit but I felt it was poorly looked after and very little available in the way of information. It gives you great views of Kos town harbour and is a pleasant walk

It looks spectacular from the outside, but is poorly maintained in the inside. It has a lot of wasted potential. There are just walls, stairs, and ruined, dangerous places. And a cannon. Not a big deal, but is worth seeing, because there is nothing more to see from the middle ages on the island.

3 Euro a history tour of an ancient Greece. Not a Windsor Castle but a beautiful walk and with views out to sea across to Turkey in the distance.
