Beautiful beach at the foot of the Lighthouse. You will find chicken and cats around the parking lot. Note that the parking opening hours are 9-5.

If you are in the South/West side of the island, please do yourself a favor and go to Bahia Sucia. They beach is wonderful, and the views from the Lighthouse are extraordinary. We went during the week and it was not that packed. Had a lot of algae on the sand that washed off from the ocean, but we went... More

One of the two best beaches for my family (including two adult children) during our week long trip to Puerto Rico. It's out of the way and not very crowded as a result. During our visit in February, I never saw more than 30 people on this beach. Its isolation means that you'll need to make your own parking space,... More

Playa Sucia is one of those "secret" beaches that is a bit off the beaten path but a truly beautiful beach. Be prepared to search for parking spaces and to walk along the sandy road to the beach. It does get a bit crowded on the weekends so the next time we go we'll plan a mid-week visit. Be aware... More

My husband and I drove around the West side of the island and thought we would stop here based on reviews. The light house was nice and the cliffs around it are beautiful and picture worthy. We walked down the slope towards the beach which was full of beach goers with items sitting all over the beach making it impossilbe... More

Playa Sucia is a hidden beach, that is tucked away behind salt ponds. It is worth the drive and effort to get to. It's nestled in a quite bay. The water is every shade of blue and has fairly still water. The sea grapes offer built in shade and drying spots for towels etc. Coolers and snacks mandatory.

If you are just going for the beach, you may be slightly disappointed - there is only about 100-200 yards of coast for sunbathing and this beach is not a secret. However, the short hikes to the lighthouse and the cliffs to the north are stunning and offer great opportunities for photography. The drive is a little odd, as you... More

Although I cannot deny the fact that the beach is beautiful, I have to admit I've seen more beautiful beaches before here in PR. This beach is overrated and always packed.
