On the weekends can ge very crowded and at times rowdy . During the week its quiet I always bring a small bag and on my way out I pick a few cans and trash which I deposit at the entrance of the beach in trash containers. This is a nice way to say thank you to a place that... More

We had to walk about one mile to get to Playa Sucia. Yet, the walk was totally worth it. Once you see the crystal clear water and white sand, you forget about the long walk. If you want to shorten your walk, please get there extra early. More

We were told about this beach when on our amazing snorkeling trip out of Ponce. We had planned on seeing the lighthouse and some beaches in the area. They said this was a must see and they were right! A secluded cove surrounded by rough rock and the lighthouse. Small waves, beautiful sand and not a lot of people. When... More

The drive here is a bit confusing but I guess anyone who has traveled to puerto rico using gps has figured that out. The end of the road that leads to this beach is a bit bumpy and there a bunch of sticky/pokey things that hurt your feet at times but that is my only complaint. This beach is a... More

It is a long and bumpy ride but so worth it. It is beautiful and relatively few people make the trip. The water and view are just wonderful. Bring food and fresh water. There are no bathrooms and no creature comforts just you and the beach.I love it. More

A former co-worker told me about this beach. During my trip in the summer of 2009 to Puerto Rico I was touring the Island. The road is definitely rough getting there, but once you're there it's worth it. There are some spots that may require a truck or SUV. I had to get coordinates from Google to find this place.... Dont be deceive by the name which means Dirty Beach. The names comes from the algae that comes ashore. Come prepare... as this secluded beach offers a quiet area... good to relax. You are within walking distance of areas to bird watch, sightseeing, a beautiful lighthouse, and a salt flat site that has beeb operating for over 500 years. The... More
