Not sure why but this Island in the Med has mystical powers. The aura as you sail by on the way to Formetera is increased when you notice the Spanish passengers stand in silence holding hands watching the island sail by. It was the same in the return. The reason we wanted to see Es Vedra was the connection with... More

We've heard about this mysterious little island from our friends, and we've found out that it is not allowed to actually visit it. There was an option of a three hour boat trip but my wife wasn't very keen on boat trips, so we decided to go to the point on the main island which is the closest to Es... More

No visit to Ibiza is complete without seeing this famous rock-formation. Said to give Ibiza it's magical healing powers & vibrant atmosphere, Es Vedra is perhaps known to many older visitors, as the inspiration for 'Bali Hai' , the mystical island in 'South Pacific' & was actually used in the famous film of that musical! In fact the beach at... More

This landmark needs no review. It's so beautiful and special that anyone traveling to Ibiza should go at least once.

My favourite view, such a magical place. We climbed to one of the islands best secrets "Atlantis" not for the faint hearted. It brings you right down facing es vedra at the closest point without taking a boat around it.

It was on my list before we left to find it and make the hike up to the pirate tower. Was disappointed that it was locked, but hiked back down in time for sunset and it was one of the highlights of the trip. Cala D'Hort is also an amazing beach close by.

One of my favourite places in Ibiza. The first time you ever see it you'll be amazed. Lovely beach too, out of the way from the typical tourist crowd.

Amazing experience and a must for all spiritual lovers. There are many legends and myths about Es Vedra. I dont know if they are true or not but it is an amazing feeling you get when you are there

This island is rumoured to be the birthplace of Hercules. Currently it is only inhabited by goats and birds. It’s a beautiful island to view. If you want to relax on the beach the nearest beach is Cala d'Hort where you can see Es Vedra. If you want a more in depth look why not get on a ferry. Such... More
