Steep climb too the top, but once there, the views you get is worth every step you took to get there. Brilliant scenery, in the lower parts there's some nice little cafes and shops if needing refreshments!

Great location to visit to get some sense of history of Ibiza instead of the party place it is known to be. Also great way to visit the local shops and mix in with the local people. Hard going with a pram, but kids enjoyed the canons.nice views of the harbour. What kids doesn't like a castle.

Having been past travellers to Ibiza (10yrs since last visit) we took our daughters both 17 yrs old (and neither wanted to go) to see the old town. Amazing!!! I love this beautiful place!!! The sunset is spectacular Who makes Ibiza holiday should not miss a trip to Es Vedra missed. It is best to rent a car and just drive there. Boat tours are offered there.

I climed up in the night when there was a fullmoon. I recommend to go there when it's dark, there is a really nice atmosphere.

The timy streets, cobble stones and stunning views of the town...and sunset. There is a small piazza with a lovely cafe worth a visit bathed in sunlight

Very steep climb to the top of castle but if you take your time it's not so bad. Take plenty of water with you, there are cafes and watering holes along the way. The history boards along and around were a welcome relief to keep us informed of what we were looking at. Definitely a must do if visiting this... More

We parked at the base of the castle in th old town and walked up. Be sure to bring coins for the parking meter, and write down your car number plate - as you need this to park (it asks for your 'matriculo' which is your car registration). It is a long way up but worth every step,the view is so beautiful,take your time and enjoy it,drinks lots of water as it gets very hot walking all the way to the top
