The 'corsars' monument is in a large piazza, packed with all kind of restaurans and shops, so animated, you can easily almost forget about this monument despite of it's height that dominates the piazza. So sit in front of it, despite the amazement of the locals or the ignorant and think for a minute about a bygone era. You will... More

If you sit in front of it, in one of the cafes, you can watch the new comers getting down from the boats. Sip an horchata. At night, sometimes, tribes dressed in funny ways to advertise the Discotheques. No longer, alas ! what it used to be a few years ago when people would come to the island to participate... More

The Old Town was on our door step from hotel so we decided to visit. Its a lovely old fortress with some stunning views of Ibiza and the marina once you reach the top - but be warned...this on a day trip for the faint hearted or the infirm as the ascent into the Old Town and Fortress is very...
