Nothing special here but ome nice butterflies on a specific garden created by a local farmer. The road to go there is beautiful through the mountains of central Siquijor. A little bit pricy for the local standards, but the money you will spend there can help the farmer to develop his own project.

This is a nice sanctuary and even when it's hard to find it's worth looking for it. A nice so far little sanctuary with beautiful butterflies. The owner tries hard and explains a lot which is very nice. Only bad thing for me was that I already put money in the donation box to then have to hear that it's... More

Went there and expected something great. Instead we were practically robbed with the 50Php entrance fee just to see a sanctuary that's the size of small room. Really not worth going out of your way to see it

It's very scant. The owner is trying to provide something both for the tourists and for ecological reasons. Don't expect too much. Have a beer with him in his cafe.

Visited the butterfly sanctuary this week. The area is currently fairly small but the owner plans to expand by December of this year as he already is cultivating the needed plants. There were not a huge variety of kinds of butterflies but there were quite a few of the ones he does have. Took a number of great photos as... More

The butterfly farm is in ln land in Siquejor . We went on a long ride along the trail of Bandilaan Forest Park. It is small and cozy. But the butterflies hovering just about every here around you, is a restful and a joyful experience . They are so beautiful . And so easy to photograph as if they are... More

A small butterfly garden with several butterflies. The friendly owner initiated the garden because he saw that there were fewer butterflies every year on the island due to farming with pesticides. His aim is to attract butterflies, create a breeding place for them and free them so hopefully the amount of butterflies will increase again. Besides he told us that... More

Dante deserves our support for his venture to restore native butterfly species to their prior numbers. Deforestation and insecticides are threatening their existence. He is setting up a small but thoughtful project to attempt to build numbers back up again. He apparently relies on donations to make progress, without any funding from elsewhere - dig deep!

The butterfly sanctuary was a nice moment of our adventure tour. We could see plenty of butterflies. Man in charge of the greenhouse was really friendly, and has a really beautiful girl who wanted to be our guide ;)
