Many colors!

As promised, this hillside is full of subtle and changing colors, beautiful to look at on a sunny day.

Well, this may well sound churlish but we have to speak as we find, but I was a little disappointed by this specific hill. Yes, it is certainly unique, and the colours are quite wonderful and change according to the light, yet for me it was but one worthy view amongst so many in this area, and while it is... More

Glad we saw it but guess we did not see it at the right time of day for it to make a great impact. Our tour guide insisted that we stop to view it. Glad he did stop.

Yes the colorful hill looks very much like on the postcards, however watching it with the morning light is still impressive and incredibly beautiful, despite the many tourists, and the crowded village... And, surprisingly enough, we were by ourselves when walking the short path around the morning mountain. If you have a car it is worth going around a little... More

This small town nestled in the crook of massive colored mountains is spectacular. The village is quaint and has an abundance of knickknacks to purchase, as well as, traditional food. There were not many tourists when I went there with my friends, and, after a short walk up the mountain I was by myself. The air was crisp and the... More

We arrived around 9am from Salta and it was the best time to appreciate the vivid colours and the still quite sleepy Purmamarca. Not to be missed !

It's the type of place that you visit and want to stay over there forever. The silence, the view, the colors. Don't miss the. Paseo el Colorado even better.

As part of a multi region tour of Argentina, we travel to Salta and Purmamarca. A must see is the Mountain of Seven Colors. Truly a marvel of nature, the colors resemble an artists pallet. Mother Nature has created this wonder after thousands of years. The entire Prumamarca region is filled with mountains and gorges that present different views as... More

Based out of Salta, we drove to Humahuaca in the Jujuy province (pronounced who who e!) and stopped in the town of Purmamarca to view the truly beautiful 7 colored hill. The colors are best seen in the morning due to the angle of the sun. There are a couple of small hills that you can pay a local 3... More

The hill of seven colors and the Pumamarca Area is amazing. The hill of seven colors is great, but the entire area is amazing too. Be sure to visit the hill of seven colors in the morning when the sun is shinning from the east as it gives the hill much stronger colors. Amazing to see.
