As part of a multi region tour of Argentina, we travel to Salta and Purmamarca. A must see is the Mountain of Seven Colors. Truly a marvel of nature, the colors resemble an artists pallet. Mother Nature has created this wonder after thousands of years. The entire Prumamarca region is filled with mountains and gorges that present different views as... More

Based out of Salta, we drove to Humahuaca in the Jujuy province (pronounced who who e!) and stopped in the town of Purmamarca to view the truly beautiful 7 colored hill. The colors are best seen in the morning due to the angle of the sun. There are a couple of small hills that you can pay a local 3... More

The hill of seven colors and the Pumamarca Area is amazing. The hill of seven colors is great, but the entire area is amazing too. Be sure to visit the hill of seven colors in the morning when the sun is shinning from the east as it gives the hill much stronger colors. Amazing to see.

A small walk you have to do if you stay in Purmamarca. The colors of the hills are even more beautiful at sunset.

Certainly one of the local highlights. Don't skyp it. You stand in front of the art of mother nature: grandiose, sublime. From the road. You don't need to walk or go anywhere

it's simply breathtaking. You can't describe it nor will the pictures show its true intensity and beauty of the colors. Worth a trip from anywhere in the world!

If you're going to Salta, you basically can't miss this place. Just go see it. There are 7 colours of mountains all the way on the drive there, and on hikes around Purmamarca. I'm told the sunrise and sunset is gorgeous but our hours did not coincide with sunset, and our morning was cloudly. But it's gorgeous with or without... More

We stopped in Purmamarca on our way to Tilcara to visit the Inca ruins. The drive leading up to this area and beyond is simply stunning!!!! The town's square has a large artisan market. I think it might be daily as we were not there on the weekend. Note the best pictures are taken just entering the town. You'll know... More

This is one of most beautiful sites I saw in Argentina. Every turn of this 3 kilometer walk is another amazing view. The colors look like they came out of a painter's palette . The walk takes over an hour, and is just incredible.

especially the walk around it is nice as you get away from Purmamarca and are left with an awesome landscape. Walk starts just left of "town"....you cannot miss it!
