Stunning nature and stunning views. The perfect place for nature lovers and for families to explore the beauty of the Asturian mountains. Perfect access by road, and then you can either take short walks or do proper hikes. Great on a good weather day. Just awesome

Beautiful scenery and quite mesmerising in the fog with the musical cowbells ringing from all across the hills.

The scenery drives you to Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings, the drive there is also a must! It is a place to enjoy the silence and the nature at its best! In the winter you find lots of snow! If you like cycling the road ascension there is a must, its an iconic finish from Vuelta a... More

We'd tried to drive up here the day before but were turned back by low cloud on the mountain, second day was much clear but the great views of the Picos sadly often obscured. All the same, the scenery is magnificent, though the driver can't look very much as it's a fairly narrow road with steep drops and some places... More

Photos don't really do this place justice. Autumn was a really nice time to visit, with the trees red, orange and yellow. Easy to arrive by car, then there are various walking routes you can take to explore the area. For those not inclined to walking, you can drive straight to the lakes and there are restaurants and a small... More

Lagos de Covadonga is a amazing landmark. The ascent of the lakes is pretty hard if you will try to climb by bicycle but certainly you will feel amazing after such hard work. The sanctuary is a stop on the way to the lakes, lovely iconic landmark. The national park is amazing and even a foggy day should not deter... More

Off season is a great time for driving all the way to the higher lake. Do not miss the climb to the viewpoint between the two lakes. A gem

This was a nice easy walk with a beautiful drive to get the lakes. The scenery was truly beautiful, mountains surrounding the lakes, deep blue sky and green pastures. Lots of cows (even while driving on the road) along with their deposits! :) We enjoyed it immensely. We had lunch at the on site restaurant Maria Rosa and laughed when... More

Unfortunately, we were unable to see the Lakes because the fog was so thick! We did enjoy seeing the goats, sheep and cows along the road!

The lakes are truly magical; when we made the drive up it was incredibly foggy so we did not yet see the lakes from the main road. While we at first were doubtful whether or not it would even make sense to get out of the car for a walk (as visibility was only a few meters) we are so... More
