Words cannot describe this area it is beautiful, clean and you can walk for miles. You might even see the one of the sheep dogs leading his flock of sheep up and down the road all on his own

Take the road up to the lake the views are fantastic. Watch the hairpins and watch out for cows they like to stand in the road round the harpin. When you get to the lake take the road that branches to the right and there is another lake and a restaurant.

Absolutely must - see , breath taking place! Amazing view, great place to enjoy and relax. Easy walk up the peak. Road is a bit narrow to arrive up there so you need to be careful.

The views are spectacular with an excellent couple of Miradors (viewpoints) on the way up or down. The mountain road is good but not for the fainthearted and care is needed. If you can visit outside of peak season it is very tranquil

The two lakes above Covadonga are a must see, especially in Spring if you like wild flowers. We did the walk around the upper lake which is a very easy walk and had an excellent "menu" lunch at the Taverna there.

That's it. Who like to walk, and is not lazy like me, can enjoy beautiful walks in various directions. The views aren't fotoshop made are real. If you drive the road is well cared for but it takes some careful because the road has many curves. Forget the rest and contemplate ...

We'd just arrived after a long drive and we were exhausted--and hungry! While having lunch in town, we asked the waiter if the lakes were very far and his recommendation made our day: "go right now!" he said, and good thing we followed his advice. In April (when we visited the area), the weather can sometimes go from bright and... More

Excellent setup. You cannot take you car up, unless you have permission. But I think the rides up there in the buses are frequent and the lets you enjoy rather than negotiate those dangerous curves. The view from up there is excellent. You can go directly to the lakes or do a small trek around and then reach the lake.... More

The lakes are very beautiful. Bucolic ambiance with the grass and the cows around. Great for a nice walk and/or to rest and enjoy the landscape.
