You absolutely must take the Delos tour while in Mykonos. The boat leaves in the morning sometime around 9/10 AM and its about a 30 minute ride to Delos. At first it may not seem much from the boat, just rocks lying all over the place, but wait till you start exploring the islands. You get roughly about 2 hours... More

This is another Roman relic that is well worth a visit, quite a bit of walking but a lot to see and all very interesting. The boat trip from Mykonos can be a tad challenging, but its not that far. In addition to the ruins that are on the ground and also partially restored, there is a very good museum... More

First of all, their timetable on the website is not correct. We got ready and were at their ticket office at 11am to catch the advertised 11:30 boat. There were a lot of people going towards the boat but we soon realised that it must have been an organised group. The signs at the boat had a different timetable to... More

Having checked the timetable in advance we packed a picnic and headed into Mykonos Town to catch the advertised 11.30am passage to Delos. Imagine our disappointment to find that there was no 11.30 crossing with the next passage at 17.00! There was no excuse or explanation and we were not the only would be passengers to miss out. For sure... More

it is really not a tour. we took a ferry to Delos from Mykonos town.. the cost is €18 for each person. Ferry ride is choppy but fun and takes half hour. given a map and costing €5 . self guided tour but map is not helpful. walked around the ruins and archeological digs and columns and visited the museum... We've been coming to Greece for 20 years and love the history and the ancient sites and Delos is by far the biggest and most impressive site we have seen outside of Athens. It is truly, truly vast and jaw droppingly awesome. The site itself is well kept and there is a museum, café, toilets and a separate book shop.... More

We took a tour to Delos from our cruise ship and were amazed by the ruins found on this tiny island. What a wealth of Greek culture has been discovered here...our guide was soo knowledgeable and made the people and their culture come alive for us. The ferry ride from Mykonos is enjoyable as well. there is a well-done museum... More

I was amazed that I hadn't learned more about this important small island during my formative years. Turns out, this tiny little island has some of the most important archeological findings relating to Greek culture. And most of it is within reach. BEcause of funding limitations, you can literally walk right up to and through the very structures and sculptures... More

Our hotel booked us on a guided tour of Delos for 40 Euros each. It included a 30 minute boat ride on quite a large boat, which was enjoyable in itself. Then we met Nico, our guide, and he led us around the island, educating us about the amazing achievements of the people who settled on Delos. We had time... More

going to Delos island is a must-do! the whole island is a open-air museum, where you can wander among the ruins of the old city by your own, at your pace, truly disconnecting from the world to submerge on the past!
