It was my favorite part of Mykonos. Delos is an archeological gem but you need a guide to identify the myths of the island.

I recommend everyone who has the opportunity to visit the island of Delos. It is impressive to see what they could to build a people 3 000 years ago on an island so small, barren, meager. Like elsewhere in the world we remain dismayed when you find out that the a prodigious civilization was destroyed by hatred, stupidity, jealousy, robbery.... More

It is hard to believe that, in third to the first centuries BC, Delos was a wealthy thriving city of over 30,000 people. Today it is a vast archaeological site, comprising the temple area and the domestic area. We found the latter more interesting as it gave us a real sense of how people lived in those days and included... More

Took the boat to Delos last week. Great trip, the one day when it didn't blow a gale on Mykonos! Euro 18 round trip, lots to see on the island. A must for anyone interested in Greek architecture and history. A bit of free for all when it came to paying the 5 Euro entry fee, but it didn't really... More

We chose on a windy day to take the boat to Delos. The tour watery well done, both informative and interesting, although a little rushed. There's plenty to see and ponder, understanding life 200 years ago. The trip back was eventful, as we battled into a force 8 gale, also fun and a little damp!

If staying in Mykonos one must make the short 30 minute ferry ride over to Delos and definitely with a tour! Although the island is a beauty by itself, a tour guide is helpful in identifying the different structures, myths and meaning of the island! The tour was about an hour and a half and then left us time to... More

Only a short crossing from Mykonos town. Delos is a archaelogical site it is a small barren island steeped in history. No more than 5 km long and 1.300 m. wide. At the beginning of the 1st century BC there were 30.000 people living on the island of Delos. Delos was a very rich island with it`s free port and... More

We had a wonderful guide take us to Delos, the birthplace of Apollo It's hard to believe that this uninhibited island was once, 2500 BC, filled with 35,000 people and the center of shipping and commerce. Very reminiscent of Pompeii but it existed long before Pompeii.

This was my husband's favorite part of Mykonos. The island were the sun and the moon were supposedly born was amazing. The ancient ruins were great to look at and you had access to every part of them. I recommend getting a tour with a certified guide so you know what your looking at. Get the tour early so you... Great ferry ride over to the beautiful ruins of Delos. Stay with a good guide and visit the museum. Do the 5:00 ferry.
