We've been coming to Greece for 20 years and love the history and the ancient sites and Delos is by far the biggest and most impressive site we have seen outside of Athens. It is truly, truly vast and jaw droppingly awesome. The site itself is well kept and there is a museum, café, toilets and a separate book shop.... More

We took a tour to Delos from our cruise ship and were amazed by the ruins found on this tiny island. What a wealth of Greek culture has been discovered here...our guide was soo knowledgeable and made the people and their culture come alive for us. The ferry ride from Mykonos is enjoyable as well. there is a well-done museum... More

I was amazed that I hadn't learned more about this important small island during my formative years. Turns out, this tiny little island has some of the most important archeological findings relating to Greek culture. And most of it is within reach. BEcause of funding limitations, you can literally walk right up to and through the very structures and sculptures... More

Our hotel booked us on a guided tour of Delos for 40 Euros each. It included a 30 minute boat ride on quite a large boat, which was enjoyable in itself. Then we met Nico, our guide, and he led us around the island, educating us about the amazing achievements of the people who settled on Delos. We had time... More

going to Delos island is a must-do! the whole island is a open-air museum, where you can wander among the ruins of the old city by your own, at your pace, truly disconnecting from the world to submerge on the past!

This is a good tour for exploring the ruins, and taking some great pictures of the ocean and also the archeological site itself. It is only a short boat ride from Mykonos approximately 30 minutes, but the departure times can be limited so be sure to check those.

a trip to Delos Island from Mykonos is not complete without the climb to the top of The mountain. The view of the surrounding islands is spectacular. The climb is 113 meters on a slightly rough set of steps but you can self pace. The birthplace of Apollo the site is well excavated and the museum worth a visit.

We enjoyed the guided tour of Delos even though there were about 30 English speaking customers all trying to hear her commentary. Delos has been plundered multiple times over the centuries so what you are seeing is a small peek at the grandeur of this ancient greek island. The floor mosaics both in-situ and in the museum were the highlight... More

Delos is a fantastic day out. A short ferry from Mykonos port (about 30-40 minutes), Delos is an incredible archeological site worth seeing if visiting Mykonos. Go for a guided tour or else you will miss out on knowing what you're actually looking at. It's fascinating.
