a lot of people only go to Mykonos for partying. But this short trip (only a 20min boat ride) is well worth stop partying for. It was beautiful to be able to explore the island and see all the different buildings and remains of ancient greek history. If you don't wanna pay extra for a guided tour, I would recommend... More

We did a tour around this site which we organised at the ferry pier. Would highly recommend doing this on a guided tour as so much information is given that you would never know about without your guide. Wouldn't recommend doing on a really hot day as there is no shelter until the end when there is a small cafe... More

This day out, taking the boat from the harbour in Mykonos town was one of the highlights of our holiday. The boat trip took about 35 mins and offers great views of Mykonos and the neighbouring islands. On arrival, one cannot fail to be impressed by the astounding archaeological remains which offer a really evocative glimpse of ancient times. Our... More

The boat ride is about 30 minutes from Mykonos old port. I preferred being outside, up top as it felt a bit cramped inside on the way there. There is a lot of information to take it, but our guide was an acheologist and she was very interesting to listen to.She spoke with passion and brought the island to life.We... More

A "must-go" if you are in Mykonos. All about Apollo and much of the Greek legend attached.Small Island, nice cafe if you want to relax.Take some of the major tourist groups. There is one with the UK flag as the insigna(forget the name) which is very good.Ferry takes areound 40 min. You will be amazed at the complete city that was there and... More

A MUST see from an archeological standpoint - but as always "tours" are HIGHLY dependent on the guide and ours from "groupscape" was awful - barely informed (used iPad for a lot of the information), very little extra information, very crowded (no doubt difficult situation) in a cramped site in certain areas BUT our guide did not know how to... We tried to squeeze information out of the fella at the kiosk, but it was like getting blood out of a stone. He was a misery too, so we didn't bother going.

Me and my partner went across to Delos for the day in September, its an interesting place but the facilities are below standard with disgusting toilets and a fly ridden cafe/expensive shop, also if you venture across to the far side of the island away from the tours there were piles of rubbish bags. The whole place did seem run... More

You absolutely must take the Delos tour while in Mykonos. The boat leaves in the morning sometime around 9/10 AM and its about a 30 minute ride to Delos. At first it may not seem much from the boat, just rocks lying all over the place, but wait till you start exploring the islands. You get roughly about 2 hours... More

This is another Roman relic that is well worth a visit, quite a bit of walking but a lot to see and all very interesting. The boat trip from Mykonos can be a tad challenging, but its not that far. In addition to the ruins that are on the ground and also partially restored, there is a very good museum... More
