Delos is incredible! You can see a whole town in ruins. Some houses are preserved and you can still see some parts of the walls and mosaics floors in it. On the top,of the island you can see the whole city and the beautiful green sea. There is a small museum there, it is included on the entrance price. The... More

In theory very practical to go from the center to the new port. Except boats are not on time, the guys at the selling booth lie through their teeth about schedule, and they cancel boat runs at will. Avoid the chronical liars or take a boat one hour ahead at least. Otherwise, probably stranded.

this is the only way to appreciate this site which can be otherwise a bunch of stones. It is so much nicer to have explanations ( our guide was an archeologist). The groups seem to be bigger than in the past so the guide does not do the museum with the group anymore. We did it by ourselves and it... More

We booked a private tour for 8 people to go to Delos with a private guide while in Mykonos on a cruise. The booking process was very easy and their prices seemed more reasonable than other companies. Another plus to booking with them is that they run the ferry service to and from Delos. Our guide, Vasso, was nice and... More

The journey was fine, very bad signage on the island and absolutely no information posted in any language at all next to the ruins. It is a very run down place and the museum looks like a prison. If you don't have a GOOD guide, you won't know what anything is. Our guide had this condescending tone whenever anyone asked... More

Can be very hot on island with virtually no shade. Bring lots of water and wear comfortable shoes and light colors.

Beautiful Ruins with lots to see. The place is rich with history and with lovely Architecture. Lots of remains of ancient but extremely advanced civilizations to see.

walk along paths trod centuries ago and you can literally visualize all the ruins buzzing with the marketplace crowds and the little lanes crowded with people scurrying around.Poppies have taken over most of the ancient shops but you can still see some of the old town homes with their halls and floors with mosaic. The adjacent museum gives further flesh to... Excellent tours of the archaeological site are provided. The site is rich with history and the museum is not large but full of interesting artifacts.
