If you're in Mykonos, you should go to Delos. The entire island is an archaeological site and you feel you're back to thousand years ago. There are a lot to see and the ticket include a visit to the museum too. As there is only one shop that sells sandwiches, you should bring some water and snacks with you when... More

There is a whole lot to explore. I enjoyed getting away from the tour groups and getting insights solo. There is not much signage so buy a guidebook for interpretation. Also bring hat and drinks. It is very hot and no shade. Go as early as you can. I skipped the museum because time was limited.

Travelled on the Delos tour boat to Delos and had the guided tour. Very hot with no shelter. The guided tour was extremely informative.

Delos was the Mykonos of 3000 years ago as the happening place and the tour teaches us how it was the commercial center and explains the architecture and ruins that you can walk among. It's sad that all you see is ruins but what a story. The tour deeply enhanced the connection to those times. You also get a chance... More

A comprehensive tour, although as with previous reviews it did seem a little rushed in places. This however may have not been a completely bad thing as the site offers little shade, and the heat became unbearable at times. The tour guide did speak great English and was able to answer any questions.

We couldn't join one of the main tours and met a guide when we got off the ferry. She got us through the ticket barrier very quickly but she went her tour just as fast. Despite being told that only 4% of the city had been restored this was a very Greek estimate. There has been much rebuilding. However, the... More

If big tour groups (eg more than 6) and having commentary conducted to the lowest common denominator to suit the masses, then please go on those big tour groups. However, with Delos, I really think you need a small group (ie 6 or less), and one that explains much more than the basic architecture and the ancient community of Delos.... More

This island is said to be the world's most important archaelogical site and we found the boat crossing very pleasant, and our tour of the island and its museum very interesting

We took the "Naxos Star" day tour from Paros (Naoussa port) to Delos and Mykonos. You get about 3 hours on each island. Having been to Mykonos before, this was plenty to get a drink at Little Venice and walk around the old town. Delos was far more interesting - its the most important/preserved archaeological site in Greece and well... More
