This is a farther out from town beach...but rewarding if you are looking to ditch the thumping music and drunken Australian backpackers. This is a 'local' beach, meaning there are not any beach umbrellas set up, and a lot of tourists do not wander in this direction. They do have an amazing beach restaurant with seafood and of course, gorgeous... More

A lot of the beaches on the south side of the island are quite busy and commercialised. This beach requires your own transport to reach. There is a nice restaurant and access to shade provided you are there early enough to get a spot. the restaurant food is available to have on the beach at reasonable prices as are a... More

The place is nice but i have seen cleaner water. There is one little restaurant there. When it is windy kitesurfers and windsurfers are there because it is a good place for them

Loved it loved it loved it, the water was pristine, the beach was huge and not crowded which is a nice change now and then. Best water I've swam in by far, immediately deep and stunning.

Elia has a great restaurant with friendy staff. there is another less crowded beach heading left of Elia - you have to stay on the main road which has a good and quiet restaurant as well. Also the beach there is relaxed with few people.

We spent more time walking around through the little shops. The beach looked nice, but we were on a business trip and followed the other travelers. We were there in May, 1998...again computer wouldn't let me put in past dates.

Beautiful beach with a small boardwalk with shops for everything you need. Chair rental was only 5 euros each. But there are many locals and tourists who like to sunbathe nude, so if that's not your style, you might want to find a more secluded part of the beach for yourself.
