The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is truly a surprise to see in Thailand. Pretty stained windows and old polished tiles on the floor. Centrally located along the river, you can get a great view from the footbridge connecting to Sichan Road. Number one attraction in Chanthaburi town.

To think that there are so few Christians in Thailand, let alone Catholics, this Catholic church was sight to devour during my stay in Chanthaburi. Whip out your camera and take many many photos at this landmark in Chanthaburi.

The cathedral is near the center of Chantaburi. It is easy to find. The outside is beautiful but the inside is amazing. The area around the cathedral is nice and clean. We spent about 1 hours at the cathedral.

The most beautiful cathedral in Thailand. It is located near the local community where many nice old houses can be found.

We only had a short time here and unfortunately the doors were closed so we were unable to look inside, which was a shame as it is suppose to be very beautiful, a good tip is to find the opening times before you go. This is the largest Catholic building in Thailand and looks very impressive from the outside, it... More

We got there late, and the doors were all closed. Able to walk around and absorb the beautiful Cathedral from the outside. Will return next time to see the inside.

This is the biggest Christian faith cathedral in Thailand and its history goes back a long way to when Vietnamese Christians fleeing from persecution in the country found this site and decided to settle there because of the peacefulness. We were able to visit without booking. Though there was no mass at the time, but we were allowed to visit,... More

Unusual to find a big church in Thailand. Nothing special on the outside and it felt like there are not many visitors.
