Deekshabhoomi !!

This place is one of those site where Buddhist stupa is situated. A very oeaceful place but quite far from the city of Nagpur. If on a visit to Nagpur give it a try.

This place is one of those site where Buddhist stupa is situated. A very oeaceful place but quite far from the city of Nagpur. If on a visit to Nagpur give it a try.

Its a very peaceful area, and one of the biggest Buddha stupa and you should visit it if you are in Nagpur

This is the place where Dr. Ambedkar too his diksha. It is quite a popular spot. You should visit this place.

Nagpur city provides limited sightseeing options and relatively Deekshabhumi Stupa is a decent place. Preferably visit in the evening or morning when its not too sunny. The place is spread over many acres but the main place to visit it the Stupa. You can peacefully sit inside the stupa and pray/meditate. There is a small exhibition inside the stupa which... More

It is known as Diksha bhoomi . Special place for dalit and Buddhist people. 6 lakh people got converted to Buddhism along with baba saheb ambedkar on 2nd october 1956. It has sacred bodhi tree which is brought from sri lanka.

Excellent location choosed by dr. ambedkar for mass religious conversion ,being in the center of india. Pleasant atmosphere with masterpiece historical monument ...!!

It is perhaps the only monument of Nagpur which is this big in size. It is well maintained from the inside. The large ground adjoining it is a playground to several sports clubs. The big Stupa in Central India where Dr B R Ambedkar given deeksha (got baptised/converted to Budhism) his fellow Caste peoples several decades back.
